    • This invention relates to PU-coating compositions containing solvent and combinations of crosslinking agents and to a process for producing polyurethane coatings on the principle of heat-activated, one-coat reverse coating by knife-coating the polyurethane coating composition onto a temporary support, drying the layer and laminating the textile substrates using preferably heated pressure rollers, followed by heating at elevated temperatures, the coating compositions used being solvent-containing, 20 to 60% compositions of a polyurethane mixture I containing(A) relatively soft polyurethanes and(B) relatively hard one-component polyurethanes and a crosslinker combination II containing(C) formaldehyde-urea and/or formaldehyde-melamine resins and crosslinking catalysts and(D) aliphatic and/or aromatic polyisocyanates, particularly blocked polyisocyanates,and, optionally, additions of soluble cellulose esters, handle-improving agents, optionally polysiloxanes containing oxyalkylene groups and other standard additives, such as pigments.The heat-active one-coat reverse coatings obtained in this way show surprisingly high dry and wet adhesion values on textile substrates through the mixed crosslinking of the selected polyurethane mixtures and, hence, high article fastness values.

    • The present invention is directed to oligourethanes which are stable in storage at room temperature and either self cross-linking at elevated temperatures or capable of being cross-linked with organic polyisocyanates which may have at least partially masked isocyanate groups,(a) containing about 0.1 to 3% by weight of tertiary amine nitrogen atoms in the form of structural units corresponding to the following formula attached through urethane groups either in end positions and/or within the molecule: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms,R.sup.2 represents --C.tbd.N, --CO--NH.sub.2 --, --CO--NHR.sup.3, --CO--NR.sub.2.sup.3 or --COOR.sup.3 andR.sup.3 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group optionally carrying inert substituents,(b) up to about 15% by weight of isocyanate groups and(c) up to about 15% by weight of masked isocyanate groups.The present invention is additionally directed to a process for the preparation of these oligourethanes and to their use for coating heat resistant substrates, optionally in admixture with organic polyisocyanates which may have masked isocyanate groups.

    • The present invention relates to lacquer polyisocyanates which contain about 0 to 8% free isocyanate groups, about 10 to 28% blocked isocyanate groups and about 2 to 10% of the structural units, --NH--NH--CO--O, all percentages based on the weight of the polyisocyanates, but excluding the weight of the blocking agent. Also provided is a process for preparing these polyisocyanates which comprises reacting about 10 to 30 mol % of the isocyanate groups of an organic polyisocyanate with reaction products which have (i) alcoholic hydroxyl groups and (ii) structural units of the formula, --O--CO--NH--NH--CO--O--, and/or of the formula H.sub.2 N--NH--CO--O--, with the formation of urethane groups and optionally groups corresponding to the formula, --NH--NH--CO--O--, and reacting about 50 to 90 mol % of the isocyanate groups of the organic polyisocyanate with a blocking agent. The reaction products containing alcoholic hydroxyl groups are obtained by reacting 1 mol of hydrazine or of hydrazine hydrate with about 1 to 2 mols of a cyclic carbonate. A final object of the present invention is the use of the new lacquer polyisocyanates as the isocyanate component in thermosetting, two-component polyurethane lacquers.

    • The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of aqueous dispersions or solutions of isocyanate polyaddition products characterized in that oligourethanes(a) which have an average molecular weight of less than about 15,000,(b) which contain from about 0 to 120 milliequivalents, per 100 g of solid content, of built-in ionic groups and/or from about 0 to 25% by weight, based on the total weight of the oligourethane, of built-in ethylene oxide units --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --O-- present within a polyether chain and/or from about 0 to 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the oligourethane, of external emulsifiers which are not chemically fixed, the total quantity of the aforesaid hydrophilic groups or external emulsifiers being sufficient to ensure the dispersibility or solubility of the oligourethanes in water, and(c) which contain primary or secondary amino end groups or semicarbazide end groups with at least one NH end groupare reacted in the aqueous phase with a chain lengthening agent which is at least difunctional and which undergoes an addition reaction or condensation reaction with the amino end groups or semicarbazide end groups to effect chain lengthening of the oligourethanes. The present invention also relates to the dispersions or solutions obtainable by this process and to their use for the production of films and coatings.

    • The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of substantially linear isocyanate polyaddition products having side-chain hydroxyl groups by the reaction of reactive systems which contain free isocyanate groups and oxazolidine groups with water, characterized in that(a) substantially linear prepolymers which contain both isocyanate groups and oxazolidine groups in end positions or(b) a mixture containing substantially linear isocyanate prepolymers and bis-oxazolidinesare chain lengthened by mixing with water, using a quantity of water calculated to provide at least about 1 mol of water per mol of oxazolidine groups present in the reaction mixture. The present invention also relates in particular to an embodiment of this process in which the prepolymers used contain chemically built-in hydrophilic groups and/or external emulsifiers, and water is used in such excess that the reaction leads directly to aqueous dispersions or solutions of the polyaddition products. Lastly, the present invention also relates to isocyanate polyaddition products obtainable by the process according to the invention.
