    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new terminal epoxy group containing polymer, its manufacturing method and an adhesive material containing the polymer.
      SOLUTION: This polymer comprises a polymer produced by polymerizing ethylene only or ethylene and a 3-20C α-olefin, the one sided terminal of which polymer chain has an epoxy group, the polymer is solid at a room temperature and has a weight average molecular weight of 7,500-500,000 measured by gel permeation chromatography. The terminal epoxy group-containing polymer can be manufactured by reacting a polymer, of melting point of ≥100°C, that contains a double bond of a vinyl type or a vinylidene type at its terminal and is produced by polymerizing the ethylene only or the ethylene and the 3-20C α-olefin with hydrogen peroxide under existence of a group VI transition metal catalyst and a phase transfer catalyst. The polymer is suitable for use in the adhesive material.
