摘要： PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of iron injection by injecting iron in the form of crud instead of ion into reactor feed water. CONSTITUTION:The feed water flowing through a pipe 36 into a tank 1 is elevated in its electric conductivity by injecting carbon dioxide gas from a nozzle 4, and flows through a pipe 13, into an electrolysis tank 2, and then between iron plate electrodes 5 where iron ion is solved in by electrolysis. By injecting inert gas in the tank 2 from a nozzle 6 bellow the electrodes, stripping of oxigen gas and clearing of extraneous matter on the electrodes are made during the electrolysis. The water including iron ion made in the electrolysis tank 2 flows through a pipe 14 into a reaction tank 8 where the iron ion is changed into crud of iron hydroxide or iron oxide by injecting air from a nozzle 8'. The said carbon dioxide gas, inert gas and air supplied are exhausted from nozzles 55 at the top of the tanks 2 and 8, and the water including crud-form iron made in the above way is injected into the reactor feed water through a pipe 56 and a water injection pump 15.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to restrain the accumulation of radio-active materials, by using SUS316 or SUS316L as a material for a pipe, by pickling and washing the material after solid solution heat treatment, and then by polishing the material so that the surface-roughness is less than 6S while no metal crystal grain boundary is exposed. CONSTITUTION:SUS316 or SUS316L is used as a material for a primary cooling water system pipe. The inner surface of the material is pickled with the use of fluorine nitrate solution after solid solution heat treatment, and is sufficiently washed with distilled water. Further, it is polished by, for example, a flapper polishing process so that it has a surface-roughness of less than 6S. Thus, since the SUS316 or SUS316L has a stable austenite structure so that no martensite induced by machining occurs due to mechanical polishing, metals crystal grin boundary is vanished due to the polishing, and the growth of an oxide film is restrained, while the outer surface thereof is coated uniformly with a film to enhance the corrosion-resistance, and further, the accumulation of cobalt may be minimized. Even though any other mechanical polishing method my be used to obtain the same result, thereby it is effective to reduce the exposure against the operator.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the corrosion of a Zr liner covering pipe by controlling the temperature of primary cooling water and the concentration of dissolved oxygen during the activation operation period from the end of construction of a boiling-water nuclear plant to the pull-out operation of a control rod by starting deaerating a steam condenser. SOLUTION: A nuclear fuel assembly 15 using a Zr liner covering pipe is loaded into a reactor 1 after the construction of a boiling-water nuclear plant has been completed or the reactor is at halt. Then, a recirculation pump 9 is started for circulating reactor water and at the same time the temperature of the reactor water is maintained at approximately 10 deg.C due to Joule heat that is generated by the rotation of the recirculation pump 9 for measurement by a sampling device 14. Then, deaeration by a vacuum pump 16 that is mounted on a steam condenser 3 is started, and dissolved oxygen in furnace water is eliminated. Then, an oxygen gas is introduced from a gas inflow device 12 to the furnace water, and the amount of inflow of oxygen gas is controlled so that the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the furnace water and supply water reaches 100-150 ppb for measurement by the furnace water and supply water sampling devices 14 and 13.

In this process, the concentration of the liquid injected into the concentration regulating tank 22 and the quantity of that injected into the primary cooing water system are regulated so that the equivalent concentration of the metal ions as cations in the reactor water may range from half to twice of that of chromic acid as anions.
