摘要： A hybrid ARQ retransmission method involves encoding data packets with a forward error correction (FEC) technique prior to transmission. The data packets are retransmitted based on an automatic repeat request and subsequently soft-combined with previously received erroneous data packets either on a symbol-by-symbol or a bit-by-bit basis. The symbols of the erroneous data packets are modulated by employing a first signal constellation. The symbols of the retransmitted data packets are modulated by employing at least a second signal constellation. Each symbol bit has a mean bit reliability defined by the individual bit reliabilities over all symbols of the predetermined signal constellation. The first constellation and the at least second signal constellation are selected such that the combined mean bit reliabilities for the respective bits of all transmissions are averaged out.

In order to facilitate the use of different scheduling schemes for user data transmission while avoiding an additional flag for indicating the scheduling mode in the control signaling, the invention proposes the use of code points in existing control channel signal fields. Further, the invention proposes a specific scheduling mode for use in combination with the proposed new control channel signal according to the invention. According to this scheduling mode control channel information is only provided for retransmissions, while initial transmissions are decoded using blind detection.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for dynamically controlling the PUSCH of a SCell in a backhaul link of a communication system utilizing a relay node with carrier aggregation, where the SCell is inband with respect to the access link between the relay node and the UEs. In order to avoid subframe blocking due to inband operation, the PUSCH of an SCell may be deactivated. The new downlink-only configuration of the SCell allows the relay node to use all resources of the SCell for scheduling resources for uplink and downlink transmissions in the access link. The PUSCH may deactivated and activated e.g. depending on the need for higher data rates in the uplink and downlink of the access link between the relay node and the UEs. The decision to deactivate/activate the PUSCH of an SCell may be taken by the DeNB or the relay node.

摘要： The invention relates to a new structure of a control channel region within a sub-frame of a 3GPP-based based communication system using OFDM in the downlink. This new structure of a control channel region is inter alia particularly suitable for conveying physical downlink control channel information from a donor eNodeB to a relay node. The control channel region is divided in CCEs that have equal size irrespective of the presence of further cell-specific and/or UE-specific reference signals within the control channel region. This is achieved by dividing the control channel region in plural sub-CCEs that are combined to CCEs all having equal size (in terms of resource elements that can be used for the signaling of control information). The control channel region is divided in the frequency domain and/or time domain in a FDM respectively TDM fashion in order to obtain the sub-CCEs.

To suggest a scheme for transmitting feedback on the successful/unsuccessful decoding of transmissions that is operable in FDD mode, the invention proposes to utilize only a single one of plural radio resources available for feedback transmission for signaling feedback for multiple transmissions. A feedback sequence of ACK/NACKs for the transmissions is mapped to one feedback resource combination that is one of the radio resources available for feedback transmission and a modulation symbol of the given modulation scheme that is transmitted on said one radio resource. This scheme can also be used in cases where the number of possible feedback sequences of ACK/NACKs for the transmissions is larger than the number of feedback resource combinations available for feedback transmission.
