    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating refuse unsuitable for combustion to recover resources by treating the refuse unsuitable for combustion by operation of a gasification plant and a system for treating the refuse unsuitable for combustion to support the operation of the gasification plant. SOLUTION: The system for treating the refuse unsuitable for combustion is provided with a means (33a) receiving information, including the weight and the component ratio of the refuse unsuitable for combustion desired to be delivered from an intermediate treatment site and a landfill site, a means (34b) establishing a plurality of operation conditions so that the weight and the component ratio of the refuse unsuitable for combustion to be charged to the gasification plant are varied based on the information on the refuse unsuitable for combustion, a means (34c) simulating the operation of the gasification plant under such operation conditions, means (34d, 35a) selecting an optimum operation condition by evaluating the result of the simulation, and a means (35b) transferring the designation information for the refuse unsuitable for combustion designating the weight and the component ratio of the refuse unsuitable for combustion received by the gasification plant for the above intermediate treatment site and the above landfill site based on the selected optimum operation condition.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover solid matter of slag by simultaneously granulated melted matter of slag and metals by water, sorting the granulated solid matter by the diameter of the granules into a fine granule and a coarse granule, and magnetically separating only the solid matter of the fine granule. SOLUTION: The melted matter 3 discharged out of a slag discharge outlet 2 of a melting furnace 1 which melts refuse and industrial wastes is quickly cooled by dropping it to water 9 of a water-granulating apparatus 4 to give finely granulated solid matter 5. The solid matter 5 is precipitated on a conveyer 10 and sieved into a fine granule and a coarse granule by a vibrating sieve 16 installed in the downstream side. The solid matter filtered through the sieve 16 is supplied to the drum surface 13 by a feeder 21 and in the solid matter supplied to the drum surface, the nonmagnetic slag which is not attracted to a permanent magnet 12 in a drum 11 is recovered in a slag receiving container 20. Solid matter 7 of metals which are magnetic materials is attracted to the drum surface 13 and parted from the drum surface 13 by a scraper 14 to be housed in a slag receiving container 19.
