    • PURPOSE: To improve the yield in production of microorganisms, by controlling the concentrations of dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide in a culture fluid to the target concentrations.
      CONSTITUTION: In a controlling apparatus 5, signals for controlling at least one of the pressure and gas retention time in an apparatus 3 for preparing an oxygen-enriched gas based on signals of the oxygen concentration of a dissolved oxygen concentration sensor 9 are output, and signals for controlling at least one of the pressure and gas retention time in an apparatus 4 for removing carbon dioxide based on signals of the partial pressure of the carbon dioxide in a sensor 10 for the partial pressure of carbon dioxide are output. Thus, the partial pressure of oxygen in the oxygen-enriched gas prepared by adsorbing nitrogen in air is controlled, and the partial pressure of the carbon dioxide in the vapor phase in a cultivation tank 1 is controlled by controlling the concentrations of the dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide in the culture fluid at the target concentrations. As a result, the yield of the product can be improved.
