In said constitution, the once converted part can be reread and the character located immediately before the cursor can be erased, so that input operation can be efficiently attained.

CONSTITUTION:An input character string entered via an input section 1 is subjected to key input analysis processing by a control section 2 and the character string as the result of KANJI conversion is outputted, then the conversion result character string processing is started and the character string as the result of conversion is displayed on a display section 4. The input read character string and the text character string are stored in an input read management buffer and a text character string management buffer in a storage section 5 so as to be made correspondent in the unit of paragraphs. In this case, the information of a paragraph is stored altogether and the processing is applied automatically in response to the case of the conversion key and the case with the correction of conversion candidate. Thus, KANJI conversion is applied without depressing any special conversion key and if the conversion character string intended by the operator is not outputted, the error is corrected by only indicating the character string desired to be corrected.
