    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration and noise of an rotary shaft and to prevent the positioning accuracy of the rotary shaft from being degraded by pressing down the shaft end of the opposite side of the shaft end erected in the base of the rotary shaft of a mechanism transmitting an operation by a gear revolving around the rotary shaft erected in the base with a leaf spring or an elastic body. SOLUTION: The upper end of the rotary shaft 1 of a gear 2 to be rotatingly driven by a belt 4 is pressed down with a leaf spring 3. The shaft end of the leaf spring 3 side of the rotary shaft 1 is made to be a tapered shape and a tapered hole is provided at a position of the leaf spring 3 where is to be brought into contact with the rotary shaft 1 and the opening diameter of the tapered hole of the spring 3 is set to the the middle of the maximum diameter and the minimum diameter of the tapered shape of the shaft end. Thus, the rotary shaft 1 is held without backlash and vibration and noise of the shaft 1 due to the fluctuation of tensile strength of the belt 4 are prevented from occurring and also the positioning accuracy of the shaft 1 is enhanced by pressing down the shaft 1 of the gear 2 with the leaf spring 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a miniature cassette automatic changer capable of automatically exchanging a small number of housed cassettes in a data streamer coped with the cassette tape of a tape recording medium. SOLUTION: For a recording/reproducing drive, the direction of height and the longest side are made in parallel in arranging it at the tape pulling out position, and a transporting path used when the cassette selected from a cassette stocker is transported to the recording/reproducing drive, almost vertically intersects the path transporting to the cassette stocker from the transporting path and a cassette port 7. In a recording/reproducing operation, the fixed position of the cassette 2 selected from the cassette stocker is settled on the transporting path of recording/reproducing drive, and after the cassette is transported to the cassette fixing position, the cassette 2 is fixed on the recording/reproducing drive. The cassette port 7 and the parts up to the cassette stocker are arranged on a straight line, and the selecting position of an optional one cassette 2 and the fixing position of the cassette 2 in a recording/ reproducing operation by the recording/reproducing drive are arranged on the straight line, then two transporting means are linearly operated.
