    • A protein chip of a S—L—SP form wherein a substrate peptide (SP) is immobilized on a solid substrate (S) by the mediation of a linker protein (L). Such chip is usefully employed in a method for analyzing the interaction between a reactive protein and its substrate peptide involving the steps of: adding to the protein chip a reactive protein showing a specific interaction with the substrate protein immobilized on the protein chip; and detecting the interaction between the reactive protein and the substrate peptide. The use of such protein chip and methodology allows an increase in the reactivity between a peptide with low molecular weight and an enzyme with high molecular weight and between the peptide and a reactive antibody on the protein chip, so that the interaction between the peptide and the protein can be analyzed rapidly and massively.

    • The present invention relates to a method for providing an arbitrary sound chosen by a called subscriber for a caller instead of a conventional RBT (RingBack Tone). The present method comprises: the first step, conducted by an HLR (Home Location Register), of furnishing a call-originating exchanger with information on whether to replace RBT or not for a terminal if a location request message is received from the call-originating exchanger when a call connection is requested to the terminal; the second step, conducted by the call-originating exchanger, of requesting a trunk connection to a call-terminating exchanger, and further requesting another trunk connection to a sound providing means based on the information and preset routing information while furnishing the sound providing means with information to identify the terminal; and the third step, conducted by the sound providing means, of selecting a sound based on the terminal identifying information, and providing the selected sound for a caller instead of an RBT.

The portable microwave plasma discharge unit generates plasma from the gas flow and the received microwaves. The portable microwave plasma discharge unit includes a gas flow tube made of a conducting and/or dielectric material and a rod-shaped conductor that is axially disposed in the gas flow tube. The rod-shaped conductor has an end configured to contact a microwave supply conductor of the supply line to receive microwaves and a tapered tip positioned adjacent the outlet portion of the gas flow tube. The tapered tip is configured to focus the microwaves received from the microwave supply conductor to generate plasma from the gas flow.
