    • According to one embodiment, a first memory device is configured to receive write data from a controller and transmit read data to the controller via a first data pin included in the first memory device. The second memory device is configured to receive write data from the controller and transmit read data to the controller via a second data pin included in the second memory device. A redelivery module within the first memory device is configured to receive an address and a command output from the controller via a predetermined signal line, and output the address and the command to the second memory device via remaining first data pin.

    • An automatic humidity step control thermal analysis apparatus has a detector for detecting and measuring a physical property of a sample and for generating a physical property signal corresponding to the physical property of the sample. The sample is housed in a sample chamber which is capable of controlling the temperature and humidity of the sample. A water chamber generates water vapor at a preselected temperature and is capable of controlling the temperature of water in the water chamber in a stepwise manner. A heat insulating pipe directs water vapor from the water chamber to the sample chamber and includes a heater for preventing dew condensation. A signal stability determination circuit receives a physical property signal from the detector and generates a trigger signal when a rate of change of the physical property signal drops below a preselected reference value. A control device controls the temperature of water in the water chamber in a stepwise manner in accordance with the trigger signal generated by the signal stability determination circuit to thereby adjust the humidity of the sample chamber in a stepwise manner.

Differential output buffers are connected in parallel with each other. A differential signal line pair in which a transformer is inserted is driven by these two differential output buffers. In this case, a voltage between the two lines of the differential signal line pair is determined by a combination of outputs from the two differential output buffers, and three values, i.e., “+V”, “−V”, and “zero”, can be output. By using this ternary data, serial signal transmission based on the bipolar transfer mode can be performed, and serial transmission suitable for the signal lines in which the transformer is inserted can be realized.

    • A viscoelasticity measurement instrument having a support whose position can be varied relative to a sample holder for holding an end portion of a sample. A detection rod is resiliently held to the support, and holds a part of the sample. When a DC or AC force is applied to the detection rod, the displacement of the detection rod relative to the support is detected. The position of the support is varied or the DC force is varied to restore the displacement to zero. In this manner, the effect of the elastic constant of the support is eliminated. In one embodiment, a detection rod is support by leaf springs. Negative feedback control is utilized to return deformation of the leaf springs to zero at all times to eliminate the spring constant effect of the leaf springs. Since the average displacement of the leaf springs is zero, the positional relation between the permanent magnet and the coil forming the electromagnetic force generator varies negligibly. Therefore, the linearity between the current flowing through the coil and the generated force is secured well to enhance the accuracy of the measured viscoelasticity data.
