    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transforming a polyorganosiloxane and a use thereof. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an SiOC-linked polyorganosiloxane by means of the transformation, a method known as such, from a hydroxy group-bearing compound containing a polyorganosiloxane which is of a stoichiometrically excess amount of -Si(H)- unit and which is expressed by general formula (I), in the presence of a catalyst of a compound of one element of or a plurality of elements of the group III-main group and/or the group III-subgroup, is characterized in that the method comprises performing perfectly the transformation of a hydroxy group-containing compound and thereafter carrying out the reaction until a group of ≡Si-H comes to be undetected gas-quantitatively.
