摘要： Described are personal care compositions comprising a polymer comprising: (a) one or more polymer comprising, as polymerized units, (i) 75% to 35% by weight, based on the weight of said polymer, one or more (meth)acrylate monomer selected from at least one of C1-C4 (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylic acid, styrene, or substituted styrene, and (ii) 25% to 65% by weight, based on the weight of said polymer, one or more hydrophobic monomer, including hydrophobically substituted (meth)acrylate monomers, with alkyl chain length from C8 to C22 and, (iii) optionally crosslinker, and, (b) at least one personal care active. Optionally, the polymer further includes a stage 2 polymer comprising, as polymerized units, (i) 10-99% of one or more monomer which has a Tg of more than 80° C. after polymer formation, (ii) 1-10% of one or more (meth)acrylate monomer containing acid functional group, and (iii) optionally, a crosslinker.

摘要： An improved autoxidizable coating and/or impregnating composition consisting essentially of:(1) from about 35% to about 80% by weight, based on the total weight of components (1), (2), and (3), of a film-forming component selected from the group consisting of drying oils, alkyd resins, and mixtures of drying oils and alkyd resins,(2) from about 10% to about 50% by weight, based on the total weight of components (1), (2), and (3), of a polymer of a molecular weight in the range of 1,000-50,000 (Mn) polymerized from a monomer system comprising:(a) from about 40% to 100% by weight of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of dicyclopentenyl methacrylate and dicyclopentenyloxyalkyl methacrylate, and(b) from about 60% to 0% by weight of at least one compatible monomer,(3) from 0 to about 40% by weight, based on the total weight of components (1), (2), and (3), of a reactive, non-volatile diluent monomer, and(4) an effective amount of at least one polyvalent metal salt or complex that catalyzes the oxidative curing of components (1), (2), and (3), wherein the total of the percentages of components (1), (2), and (3) is 100.

摘要： A procedure is provided for producing a laminate having a textile backing, a crushed, thermoset plastic foam bonded thereto, and a transparent polymeric film, preferably also a thermoset, which may be printed or colored overall overlying the foam. The structure is self-bonded, i.e., no adhesive is used to bond the laminate to one another. The preferred procedure is to apply a thin layer of foamed latex of a thermosettable polymer on a textile followed by drying the foam, the thickness of the foam being between about 10 mils and 150 mils. The transparent film, preferably thermosetting, is suitably formed by casting a latex upon a release surface such as silicone release paper and drying the same without causing thermosetting (if a thermosettable polymer is utilized). The dry film, still on the release paper, is then suitably coated or printed with a decorative design. The decorated side of the film is then placed against the dried foam layer and bonded thereto by pressure. The thermosetting may be done simultaneously with bonding or subsequently thereto.
