    • A reflective LCD array (10) configured to minimize distortion in mirrors (14) thereof produced by attachment of a plurality of vias (16) to the mirrors (14). The vias (16) electrically connect the mirrors (14) to a metal layer (12) having circuitry thereon associated with the mirrors (14). The vias (16) are positioned equidistant about a center (30) of the mirrors (14) such that spacing of the vias (16) is generally equidistant from an X axis (26) and Y axis (28) of the reflective LCD array 10. The vias (16) are positioned such that such symmetry is retained even where circuitry associated with adjacent mirrors (14) is a reflected image copy of the reference mirror (14). Where even spacing about either the X axis (26) or the Y axis (28) is not practical, the vias (16) are grouped near the center (30) of the mirror (14) along that axis such that the effect is that of there being only a single via (16) along such axis.

    • An array substrate of a liquid crystal display device, wherein picture quality is improved without decreasing aperture ratio by providing a storage capacitor of a large capacity. The array substrate of a liquid crystal display device includes a gate line formed on an array substrate and a gate electrode diverged from the gate line. A common line composed of substantially the same material as the gate line of an opaque metal is arranged parallel to the gate line. A first electrode of a storage capacitor composed of a transparent conductive material is formed on the common line. A gate insulating film covers the gate line, the gate electrode, and the first electrode of a storage capacitor. A semiconductor layer is formed to overlap the gate electrode on the gate insulating film. A source electrode and a drain electrode are arranged with a constant interval on the semiconductor layer. A data line is connected to the source electrode and is arranged perpendicularly to the gate line. An insulating layer is formed on the data line, the source/drain electrodes, and the gate insulating film. A first contact hole is formed by removing the insulating layer so as to expose a part of the drain electrode. A pixel electrode is connected to the drain electrode through the first contact hole above the insulating layer.

    • An array substrate of a liquid crystal display and a fabricating method thereof. In the array substrate, a gate wire and a common wire are provided on the substrate. A gate electrode is protruded from the gate wire. A gate insulating film is formed in such a manner to cover the gate wire and the gate electrode. A source electrode is provided on a semiconductor layer and a gate insulating film and is connected to a data wire. A drain electrode is provided on the semiconductor layer and the gate insulating film and is opposed to the source electrode. A protective layer covers the gate and data wires and the source and drain electrodes, and has a contact hole for exposing the drain electrode. A pixel electrode is connected, via the contact hole, to the drain electrode. Herein, the drain electrode is extended within a pixel to overlap with the common wire having the gate insulating film therebetween.
