The intermediate layer has a first outer end surface forming contours of a symbol as viewed in a direction from the orifice toward the substrate and making a first angle with the surface of the substrate and a second outer end surface facing the channel and making a second angle with the surface of the substrate. The first angle is an obtuse angle. The second angle is smaller than the first angle.

摘要： A resin sheet that is comprised of a thermoplastic resin capable of being thermally welded to a lining material of a main pipe is attached to a flange of a lateral pipe liming material via a resin-absorbing material. The resin sheet and the resin-absorbing material are thermally welded. The flange and the resin-absorbing material are respectively impregnated with a thermoplastic resin, which is cured to bond the flange and the resin-absorbing material. A similar configuration is provided to the bottom side of the flange as well. The resin sheet of the thermoplastic resin is integrally bonded to the flange, so that the flange of the lateral pipe lining material and the main pipe lining material can be reliably bonded by a simple method through thermally welding of the lining material of the main pipe and the resin sheet, even in a case in which the flange is hard.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for producing a liquid discharge head including a silicon substrate having, on a first surface, energy generating elements, and a supply port penetrating the substrate from the first surface to a second surface, which is a rear surface of the first surface of the substrate. The method includes the steps of: preparing the silicon substrate having a sacrifice layer at a portion on the first surface where the ink supply port is to be formed and an etching mask layer having a plurality of openings on the second surface, the volume of a portion of the sacrifice layer at a position corresponding to a portion between two adjacent said openings being smaller than the volume of a portion of the sacrifice layer at a position corresponding to the opening; etching the silicon substrate from the plurality of openings and etching the sacrifice layer.

摘要： A blood pressure information measurement device includes a main body, including an inflation pump and an exhaust valve, and a cuff, including an air bladder for pulse wave measurement and an air bladder for blood pressure value measurement. The air bladder for pulse wave measurement and the air bladder for blood pressure value measurement are wrapped around a proximal side and a distal side of the upper arm, respectively. A first piping portion connects the air bladder for blood pressure value measurement to the inflation pump and the exhaust valve. A second piping portion branching from the first piping portion connects the air bladder for pulse wave measurement to the first piping portion. The second piping portion includes a 2-port valve that switches between connecting and disconnecting the air bladder for pulse wave measurement and the first piping portion, and a pressure sensor for measuring a pulse wave.

摘要： A blood pressure measurement device accurately calculates an index useful in determining the degree of arteriosclerosis by accurately detecting a difference in time of appearance of a ejection wave and reflected wave in a blood pressure waveform. The device sets a threshold value based on an index that expresses a characteristic of the blood pressure waveform with respect to the point of appearance of the reflected wave in the blood pressure and estimates a rise point of the reflected wave by calculating an x-coordinate value of a point based on a maximum amplitude of the reflected wave and the threshold value. The device obtains the index of degree of arteriosclerosis by calculating a time difference in appearance between the ejection wave and the reflected wave based on the estimated rise point of the reflected wave.

摘要： A liquid ejection head and a method of forming the same. The liquid ejection head includes a substrate, an ejection port, a liquid channel, and a supply port. The substrate has, above one side thereof, an energy generating element configured to generate energy used to eject liquid. The ejection port, from which a liquid is ejected, is located at a position corresponding to the energy generating element. The liquid channel communicates with the ejection port and penetrates the substrate from the one side to another side of the substrate. The supply port communicates with the liquid channel. The substrate has a projecting layer extending inward of an inner peripheral portion of an opening in the supply port in the one side, and the projecting layer and the energy generating element are formed of the same material.

With 10% of the amplitude of the first characteristic as a threshold value, a time point at which the amplitude reaches the threshold value after the relevant point is determined as an ending point of the reflection wave zone that is a second characteristic point. The duration time of the reflection time of the time between the first characteristic point and the second characteristic point is calculated as an index useful in the diagnosis of heart disease.
