    • A method for controlling the rotational speed of an internal combustion engine in the idling state, including the steps of detecting an intake air flow rate in the engine and an air-fuel ratio of the engine and supplying the results of the decisions to a control circuit. The method includes the steps of generating output signals from the control circuit for generating the air flow rate and fuel injection amount, regulating the air flow rate while the engine is in an idling state, and regulating the fuel injection amount from a fuel injector in the engine.
