    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a joint device of an excavating rod and improve the durability thereof, and to simplify its mounting to an existing excavator.
      SOLUTION: The excavator includes a female joint for joining the excavating rod to an output shaft of a rotary drive device in a manner of being fit to a male joint of the excavating rod of which the rotary drive device is supported along a leader erected on a base machine so as to be elevated. In the excavator, a collector ring for feeding power to a plurality of electric cylinders is arranged on the outer periphery of the female joint of a rotary part, and cylinders integrally rotated with the female joint are hung on the outer periphery of the female joint. A pair of right and left fixing-metal piece push-in plates are supported to the front end of the rod of the electric cylinders by the intermediary of a spring in a movable manner in an axial direction of the female joint. A fixing metal piece mounted to be movable back and forth in a radial direction is engaged with or disengaged from a pin fitting groove of the male joint of the excavating rod inserted into the female joint accompanied by the movement of the fixing-metal-piece press-in plate. Thus, the joint device is unitized, so that it can be easily mounted to the existing excavator, and the small-sized, lightweight and durable joint device can be obtained.

    • Disclosed is a control apparatus that is used for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger and capable of inhibiting a decrease in the temperature of an exhaust gas purification device under a low-temperature operating condition where the temperature of the exhaust gas purification device decreases. The control apparatus includes a turbocharger having a turbine that operates by exhaust energy and is installed in an exhaust passage; and the control apparatus includes a WGV that opens and closes an exhaust bypass passage, which bypasses the turbine. The degree of opening of the WGV is controlled depending on whether a high turbine temperature condition where the temperature of exhaust gas at a downstream location is higher when it passes through the turbine than when it passes through the exhaust bypass passage, is established when a low-temperature operating condition is established to decrease the temperature of an exhaust purification catalyst.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a control device that is used for an internal combustion engine with a turbocharger and capable of suppressing the deterioration of a catalyst when a speed reduction fuel cut is performed in a situation where the temperature of the turbocharger is high. The control device includes a turbine for the turbocharger installed in an exhaust path of the internal combustion engine, a catalyst installed in the exhaust path and disposed downstream of the turbine, a bypass path for bypassing the turbine by connecting the exhaust path upstream of the turbine to the exhaust path between the turbine and the catalyst, and a waste gate valve capable of opening and closing the bypass path. The control device opens the waste gate valve when a speed reduction fuel cut operation is performed in a situation where the temperature of the turbocharger is higher than its setting.
