    • A system and method for imaging a three-dimensional scene having one or more objects. The system includes a light source, a detector array, a timing circuit, an inertial guidance system and a processor connected to the timing circuit and the inertial guidance system. The light source generates an optical pulse and projects the optical pulse on an object so that it is reflected as a reflected pulse. The detector array includes a plurality of detectors, wherein the detectors are oriented to receive the reflected pulse. The timing circuit determines when the reflected pulse reached detectors on the detector array. The inertial guidance system measures angular velocity and acceleration. The processor forms a composite image of the three-dimensional scene as a function of camera position and range to objects in the three-dimensional scene.

    • To analyze the factors that contribute to the performance of the portfolio manager has always been a challenging task. Traditionally, the background of the manager, statistical data associated with the manager, and many tangible and intangible considerations play a role in the evaluation of the manager. A portfolio manager can not operate without the supporting teams; the manager is also influenced by the operational environment and a changing market structure. For this invention, the conflict of interest method is utilized to characterize the operational environment and the market structure that have been missing from traditional evaluation method of the manager. The objective of this invention is to introduce a balanced method for evaluating the portfolio manager by analyzing the investment process and its components that the manager has to work with it. By building the COIS into regression analysis, the contributing factors of performance are extended from factors associate with the manager to include factors related to the market participants, investment process, business practice, operational environment and market structure. The COI Method opens new paths to perform analysis and decision making in many fields of investment.

    • An architecture for an integrated circuit with in-circuit programming allows real-time modification of the in-circuit programming code and other code stored on the chip. The architecture utilizes a microprocessor and control logic on an integrated circuit having a single non-volatile memory that stores instructions and data, such as in-circuit programming and user code, and input/output ports and related structure for exchanging data with an external device. Using in-circuit programming code stored on the chip, the chip interactively establishes an in-circuit programming exchange with an external device to update data and instructions including the in-circuit programming code. Input/output conflicts during in-circuit programming can be avoided by employing a code generator that supplies control routines to the microprocessor during at least part of the in-circuit programming operations. The code generator allows the in-circuit programming code to be updated in real time.
