    • PURPOSE: To prevent the corrosion of machines, apparatus, and piping and the cracking of a turbine rotor disk by constituting a condenser and a low- pressure feed-water heater of a material without contg. copper, using an ammonia-type ion-exchange resin in a condensing and desalting apparatus, and regulating the pH of the system water to a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: A condenser 2 and a low-pressure feed-water heater 8 are consti tuted of a material without contg. copper (e.g., titanium and stainless steel), an ammonia-type ion-exchange resin (NH
4 -OH type) is used in a condensing and desalting apparatus 6, and the content of an Na-type ion-exchange resin (R-Na) is regulated to ≥0.1%. In the power plant, an alkaline agent (e.g., ammo nia and hydrazine) is added into the system water to regulate the pH to 9.6W10.0. Consequently, the corrosion of machines, apparatus, and piping in the power plant system and the cracking of a turbine rotor disk can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a significant corrosion preventing effect even at the rear side of a member, a gapped part and a part contacting with a flow by combining corrosion inhibiting method using an org. compound having a carboxyl group, etc. and showing its effect under flowing conditions with an electrolytic protection method showing its effect in static water. CONSTITUTION:A corrosion inhibitor consisting of an org. compound having a carboxyl group and phosphonic acid or water soluble salts of them is prepd. The corrosion inhibitor showing its effect under flowing conditions is added to liquid radioactive waste with high electric conductivity and high corrosiveness discharged from a nuclear power plant, and an electrolytic protection method showing its effect in static water is applied at the same time.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a storage tank for liquid which is provided with an adequate corrosion preventive measure to permit prevention of corrosion by the constitution in which the conduction of electricity in a circuit including the metal of the storage tank for liquid made of a metal having a lining and a specifically provided electrode plate is detected and the non-defectiveness of the lining layer is detected. CONSTITUTION:A circuit is formed through a resin lining layer 2 of a storage tank 1 for liquid made of a carbon steel provided with said lining layer 2 by connecting the above-mentioned carbon steel 1 and a specific electrode plate 3 provided in the liquid by a metallic conductor circuit 4. A measuring device 5 for electrical conductivity is connected to said circuit to measure the electrical conductivity. The measured value is compared with a set current value which is a reference when the layer 2 is normal in a comparator circuit 6. A device 7 for adding an inhibitor is controlled by the output signal corresponding to the resultant deviation value to feed the inhibitor into the liquid through a feed pipe 8. The corrosion of the carbon steel part 1 is thus economically prevented when a pinhole, failure, etc. arise in the lining 2.

    • PURPOSE:To develop a control system for monitoring the corrosion prevention of a metallic material by measuring continuously the corroding rate of the metallic material under corrosive environment and the environmental factor for corrosion and controlling the environmental factor for corrosion in accordance with the correlation thereof. CONSTITUTION:The reference value of an etching rate of a metallic material 2 in a corrosion medium 1 is preliminarily stored in an arithmetic device 6. An environmental factor is measured by a device 5 for measuring the environmental factor from the detection signal emitted by an element 3 for measuring the environmental factor. The correlation between the environmental factor value measured by the device 5 and the corroding rate measured by a device 4 for measuring the corroding rate is calculated by an arithmetic device 6 from both values and the relation therebetween is monitored. An operating part for the environmental factor is further controlled to return the changed environmental factor to the original factor by feeding back the measured value of the environmental factor changed conisiderably from a stationary value in the correlation with the corrding rate to an environment control device 7, thereby maintaining the effect of preventing corrosion of the material 2 under the corrosive environment.
