    • A mechanical torque enhancing assembly for increasing the torque output of a pulley. The mechanical torque enhancing assembly includes a drum assembly that has an interior space, a belt receiving groove that extends around an outer perimeter edge of the drum assembly, a converter plate, and a plurality of drive pins coupled to the interior space. The plurality of drive pins are each positioned proximate the belt receiving groove at a predetermined spaced distance from each other. A plurality of drive panels that have a first end and a second end are also positioned within the interior space of the drum assembly. The first end of each of the drive panels is coupled to an associated drive pin. The second end of each of the drive panels is coupled to the converter plate. Thus, when the drum assembly rotates each of the drive panels acts as a lever and the converter plate acts as a fulcrum thereby increasing the torque on the converter plate. In addition, the converter plate has an axle for providing rotational power.

    • A highly efficacious defibrillation lead system and method of use in the middle cardiac vein. The lead system includes a catheter shaft having a plurality of electrode channels and a venous electrode within each channel. A lead wire is electrically interconnected to each venous electrode and extends through the associated electrode channel to the distal end of the shaft. The lead system can be efficiently implanted in the middle cardiac vein when the electrodes are in retracted positions within the channels. After the lead system is implanted, the electrodes are moved to branched deployed positions beyond a distal end of the shaft and into a plurality of tributaries of the middle cardiac vein. The branched electrode distribution in the middle cardiac vein is achieved with relatively little trauma during deployment and enables successful defibrillation with reduced defibrillation threshold energy to enhance the overall defibrillation procedure.

    • A method of maintaining a printhead in an operable condition and/or remediating a printhead to an operable condition is provided. The method comprises the steps of: (i) providing an elastically deformable maintenance belt having a contact surface for sealing engagement with an ink ejection face of the printhead, the contact surface being sloped with respect to the face; (ii) moving the belt into a first position in which a clean part of the contact surface is sealingly engaged with the face, the movement being such that the contact surface progressively contacts the face during engagement; (iii) moving the belt into a second position in which the contact surface is disengaged from the face, the movement being such that the contact surface peels away from the face, thereby providing an inked part of the contact surface; (iv) conveying the belt such that the inked part of the contact surface is conveyed away from the printhead; and (v) optionally repeating steps (ii) to (iv).
