    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an amine compound adsorbing material which can easily and efficiently decreasing an amine compound in sewage in a short period of time without producing a toxic substance such as NOx as a by-product when used. SOLUTION: The amine compound adsorbing material contains calcium aluminate and/or its hydrate. Since the amine compound adsorbing material can efficiently decrease the amine compound in sewage, the amine compound can be decreased in a much shorter period of time in comparison with the conventional activated carbon-used detoxifying method. This amine compound adsorbing material is suited to an anticorrosive material for preventing the corrosion of steel-made piping or intermediates of various chemical products or is suitable for adsorbing/decreasing the amine compound in the sewage to be generated as waste.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful substance catching material suitable for suppressing the elution of harmful substances from soil.
      SOLUTION: The harmful substance catching material contains calcium aluminate and blast furnace air-cooled slag. The harmful substance catching material catches and immobilizes the various harmful substances including hexavalent chromium, etc., and suppresses the elution thereof from solidified bodies and is excellent in strength developability. The harmful substance catching material catches the harmful substances from the soil containing harmful substances, such as chromium compounds in the form of waste of plating factories, stainless steel manufacturing industry, etc., and cadmium in Ni-Cd batteries, by methods of (1) mixing or spraying the material with or to the soil, (2) dispersing the material in a large volume of water and injecting the mixture into the soil, and (3) mixing the material with cement concrete and using the mixture as a solidifying material. The harmful substance catching material has the characteristic of exhibiting the performance without being affected by the pH of the soil and sewage and is suitable for applications for suppressing the elution of the harmful substances by rapidly curing the highly moist soil, such as clayey soil, sludge and soft ground containing the harmful substances.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonated cement hardened body and its manufacturing method for use in civil engineering and architecture, which allow for developing an excellent bending strength, and eliminating chipping of edges and corners on handling such as horizontal-hold-carrying or installing, and troubles caused by insufficient strength, especially bending strength. SOLUTION: A cement concrete is prepared by kneading a cement concrete composition containing a slowly cooled blast furnace slag powder and water, shaped, and carbonated into the cement hardened body, wherein the cement concrete composition may contain additionally a polymer compound, and the slowly cooled blast furnace slag powder may contain sulfur of 0.5% or more as sulfur in a non-sulfuric acid form, and the vitrification rate of the slowly cooled blast furnace slag powder may be 30% or less.
