    • The present invention provides a method of processing musical information. A user can perform a musical piece, using a real musical instrument (e.g. a guitar), which is received as audio input. The audio input is then assessed to determine whether it meets various quality standards—for example, whether the user played at the right pitch, at the right time, or at the right volume. If the audio input meets the standards, audio output is then provided of a professional performance of the musical piece, such that it sounds as if the user is performing the professional audio. The standards can be adjusted to different levels, depending on the user's skill on the musical instrument. At an easy level, low standards may be applied, such that even unskilled or beginner musicians can sound like a professional. For more skilled users, the standards may be more difficult to meet. If the user does not meet the quality standards, alternative audio output may be provided, indicating incorrect performance of the musical piece.

    • A multi-layer PrxCa1-xMnO3 (PCMO) thin film capacitor and associated deposition method are provided for forming a bipolar switching thin film. The method comprises: forming a bottom electrode; depositing a nanocrystalline PCMO layer; depositing a polycrystalline PCMO layer; forming a multi-layer PCMO film with bipolar switching properties; and forming top electrode overlying the PCMO film. If the polycrystalline layers are deposited overlying the nanocrystalline layers, a high resistance can be written with narrow pulse width, negative voltage pulses. The PCMO film can be reset to a low resistance using a narrow pulse width, positive amplitude pulse. Likewise, if the nanocrystalline layers are deposited overlying the polycrystalline layers, a high resistance can be written with narrow pulse width, positive voltage pulses, and reset to a low resistance using a narrow pulse width, negative amplitude pulse.

    • A method for identifying clusters of similar documents from among a set of documents is described. A particular document is selected based on rank from among a ranked set of documents, wherein the ranked set of documents are included among available documents of the set of documents. A probe is generated based on the particular document. The probe comprising one or more features. Documents that satisfy a similarity condition are found from among the available documents using a search based upon the probe. Some or all documents found are associated with a particular cluster of documents. The process can be repeated to generate further clusters. The method can be implemented with a computer, and associated programming instructions can be contained within a compute readable carrier.
