    • The present invention relates to novel use of lignan compounds, and more particularly, the present invention relates to novel use of an extract of the aril of nutmeg, 2- (4-allyl-2, 6-dimethoxyphenoxy) -1- (4-hydroxy- 3 -methoxyphenyl) -propane, austrobailignan 7 or licarin E, for preventing or treating diabetes or PPARγ-mediated diseases. The said compound and extract of the aril of nutmeg act as ligands for PPARy, and they may be used for preventing or treating PPARγ-mediated diseases, not limited thereto, such as diabetes and diabetic complication. Accordingly, 2- (4-allyl-2, 6- dimethoxyphenoxy) -1- (4 -hydroxy-3 -methoxyphenyl) -propane, austrobailignan 7 or licarin E and extract of the aril of nutmeg may be useful as preventing or treating agent for PPARγ-mediated diseases, not limited thereto, such as diabetes and diabetic complication.

    • Disclosed is a method of analyzing a protein, and more particularly, a method of analyzing a protein, comprising the steps of: (A) labeling small amounts of the protein groups with CyDyes having different fluorescence properties, respectively; (B) mixing 50~100jUg of each of the protein groups, labeled in step (A), with l~5rag of each of one or more of the unlabeled protein groups, and subjecting the mixture to electrophoresis; (C) subjecting the electrophoresed gel to fluorescence analysis to detect a difference in protein distribution between the protein groups; and (D) excising spot(s), showing the difference in protein distribution, from the gel, and isolating and identifying a protein, which is different between the protein groups, from the spots. According to the present invention, a qualitative and quantitative analysis can be performed with a difference in the fluorescence of CyDye having very high sensitivity, and a protein can be identified using MALDI-TOF simultaneously while analyzing in a gel. Thus, the limitation of reproducibility can be overcome, and the time and cost for analysis can be remarkably reduced. Further, since two proteins can be simultaneously analyzed in a gel, the method can be effectively employed when two proteins are compared and analyzed each other, and then a protein is identified.

    • The present invention relates to a parallel-ring integrated antenna. The integrated antenna in accordance with the present invention includes a parallel ring including a plurality of rings and a central conductor, and a high dielectric body coupled to the parallel ring. Return loss can be changed depending on a thickness of the ring, a first diameter, i.e., a diameter of the ring, a distance between the rings or a second diameter, i.e., a diameter of a central conductor. Further, the high dielectric body has a groove formed therein to correspond to an external shape of the parallel ring. The parallel ring is coupled to the high dielectric body through the groove. Thus, the integrated antenna of the present invention can obtain a maximum gain and active performance while maintaining the size of an existing chip antenna and can have its size and structure changed easily and conveniently by combining the high dielectric body with the parallel ring.
