    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reaction efficiency of a catalyst so as to increase an quality improving effect of fuel without enlarging a vessel size. SOLUTION: A device comprises a vessel 11, partitioning cylinders 12, 13 and a plurality of partitioning plates 14. Each partitioning cylinder is successively built in the vessel, so as to partition inside the vessel. Each partitioning plate is provided in an outer surface of the partitioning cylinder along its lengthwise direction, a partition is made between the vessel and the partitioning cylinder and between each partitioning cylinder. The partitioning cylinder and the partitioning plate divide inside the vessel into a plurality of reaction chambers 32. A cover of the vessel 11 has an inflow/outflow port 26, 27. In each partitioning cylinder and partitioning plate, a communication port is formed in an end part side of each reaction chamber so as to form a series of flow path passing through from the inflow port to the outflow port while meandering in each reaction chamber. A catalyst is received in the reaction chamber.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate the smooth supply of fuel at the time of an inflow and an outflow by forming a part of a cover body having an inflow port for liquid fuel and the whole of a bottom part having an outflow port through the press- forming of a thin metal plate, in the case where the liquid fuel is passed through a catalyst to improve its property. CONSTITUTION: A catalytic reaction device is composed of an outer shell 3, its cover body 31 and a bottom part 30, and inflow ports 6,7 are severally provided in the cover body 31 and the bottom part 30, and catalyst grains 11 are filled up in a content volume part. In this case, the cover body 31 is formed by press-forming a thin metal plate so as to have a body part 33 having a threaded part 9 and a cover part 34 having a taper part 32, and the outer periphery of the flange part 36 of the cover part 34 is welded to the body part 33, and a piping joint 60 is welded to the taper part 32. On the other hand, the bottom part 30 is also formed by press-forming a thin metal plate, and the outer periphery of its flange part is welded to the periphery of the end face of the outer shell 3. Filters 50, 50 are firmly provided inside the cover body 31 and the bottom part 30.

CONSTITUTION:In a vacuum generator 6 in which a nozzle member 14 is located in a purge gas passage, and a suction passage 18 merging with the purge gas passage is formed downstream of the nozzle 17, a second nozzle 17 is composed of a tapered introduction part 23 having a diameter increased toward the nozzle member 14, an apporachway part 24 linearly extending from the downstream side of the introduction part 23 and having a constant cross-section, and a tapered outlet part 25 having a diameter which is enlarged downstream from the downstream end of the approachway part 24. Further, the introduction part 23 is formed to have a large size so as to include therein the prolonging line of a nozzle hole 21 in the nozzle member 41.
