摘要： An image forming apparatus, according to the present invention, comprises a first substrate whereon are provided a functional element and electric wiring that is connected to the functional element, and a second substrate whereon is an area where an image is to be formed, and wherein, with the first substrate and the second substrate being located opposite to each other, space between the first substrate and the second substrate is kept in a pressure-reduced state so as to form an image in the area on the second substrate, and wherein the electric wiring is formed of a laminated conductive material by a process that plates a printed pattern, which is initially deposited by a printing process.

摘要： A method comprises: arranging a bonding material between a pair of base materials; and bonding, as mutually pressing the pair of the base materials, the pair of the base materials by the bonding material, by irradiating an electromagnetic wave while moving an irradiation position along the bonding material to melt and then harden the bonding material, wherein the arranging includes arranging the bonding material on one of faces of the pair of the base materials so as to have a convex portion which continuously extends in a direction along which the bonding material extends and in which its central region in a width direction protrudes toward the other of the faces of the pair of the base materials. Thus, a stress according to heating and cooling of the base material is reduced and crack does not occur easily in a bonding portion.

摘要： An image display apparatus manufacturing method comprises: arranging a bonding material between a pair of base materials acting as a first or second substrate and a frame member, wherein the bonding material includes a main portion extending along the frame member in a closed shape, and a thinner additional portion branching from the main portion as an elongation of a side constituting the main portion; and bonding, as mutually pressing to each other the base materials, the pair of the base materials by the bonding material, by irradiating an electromagnetic wave to the main portion while moving an irradiation position along the bonding material to melt the main portion, and then hardening the melted main portion. Thus, a crack having a possibility of occurrence and widening from the corners of the bonding material can be easily suppressed.

The second portion 92b has a smaller thickness t2 than the thickness t1 of the first portion 92a and constitutes a side plane of the bonding member 92. The second portion 92b also has a shape such that a convexity and a concavity alternate along a longitudinal direction of the bonding member 92.

摘要： In a manufacturing method of forming a hermetically sealed container by bringing a pair of substrates into intimate contact via a supporting frame between them, one of the substrates is warped in a depressurized atmosphere before getting into intimate contact and is thereby separated from the other substrate so as to evacuate inside of the hermetically sealed container by releasing the depressurized atmosphere therein. Relative positions of the substrates are restored by having the warp undone thereafter. Therefore, it is possible to achieve evacuation inside the hermetically sealed container without causing the relative positions of the substrates to deviate.
