    • Graph analysis for double pattern lithography is described. Layout shapes are decomposed into rectangles and a vertex is provided for each rectangle. Double pattern spacing conflicts are determined and shown as edges for the graph analysis. Odd cycles are used to identify double pattern lithography violations. Cycles can be completed with the addition of edges between vertices where stitches have been included in the layout. Edges between touching shapes do not count toward the odd count in the cycles. Fixes are included by increasing space or by rerouting. A portion of the layout can be incrementally changed and a local update of the graph analysis performed. Correct by construction layout is implemented by avoiding certain odd cycle prone layout routings.

    • Silica aerogels with improved properties are disclosed together with methods for synthesizing such aerogels. The improved properties include lower thermal conductivity (better insulating capacity), lower acoustic velocity, lower dielectric constant and improved ductility. Greater tunability of the refractive index can also be achieved. The silica aerogels are prepared by a sol-gel processing method that provides better control of the formation of aerogel structures. Generally speaking, the improvements arise from control of the synthesis to create a morphology of primary clusters and diverse-sized secondary clusters of dense silica aerogels separated by less densely packed regions. By providing a broader range of secondary clusters and/or pore sizes and loose connectivity between clusters, reductions can be achieved in thermal conductivity and flexural modulus.

    • The invention may be embodied as a system having and/or a method utilizing a searchable database of index information. Each index in the database may have (a) at least one descriptor, which matches an entry that a user might provide in order to identify an item, (b) a first pointer which identifies a location of the item, and (c) a second pointer which identifies a location of information that may be helpful to the user in deciding whether to request retrieval of the item. The first pointers of one index may be the same as first pointers in a different index. The second pointer may identify a general class to which an item belongs.

    • One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for detecting a quick response (QR) code. An area of an image comprising a QR code is localized by combining pixel dynamic scale (DS), black-cell ratio (BR), and edge intensity sum (EIS) criteria determination to identify the QR code. A pattern for the QR code is detected, comprising determining if a position detection pattern (PDP) is located in respective grid areas of a first grid that comprises the QR code, and identifying an alignment pattern (AP), if present. To identify the AP, an AP region is estimated using the PDPs, and a center area of the AP is found by examining respective areas of a second grid comprising the estimated AP region.

For example, in one exemplary embodiment, one or more fault dictionaries are generated for identifying one or more defect candidates from corresponding observation point combinations. In this exemplary method, the observation point combinations indicate the observation points of a circuit-under-test that captured faulty test values upon application of a respective test pattern. Further, the one or more fault dictionaries in one embodiment are generated by: (a) for a first defect candidate, storing one or more first indicators indicative of test patterns detecting the first defect candidate, and (b) for a second defect candidate, storing at least a second indicator indicative of the test patterns that detect the second defect candidate, the second indicator comprising a bit mask that indicates which of the test patterns detecting the first defect candidate also detect the second defect candidate.
