    • An active matrix organic electro-luminescence device array comprising first sub-pixel regions and second sub-pixel regions defined by scan lines and data lines is provided. Each first sub-pixel region has a first light emitting device, a first control unit and a second control unit therein while each second sub-pixel region has a second light emitting device therein. The first control unit is electrically connected to the first light emitting device for driving the first light emitting device. The second control unit is electrically connected to the second light emitting device for driving the second light emitting device. The second light emitting device having poor light emitting efficiency per unit area is disposed in the second sub-pixel region for increasing its light emitting area so that the first and second light emitting devices may have uniform brightness when drive with the same driving current.

    • This invention relates to a method for fabricating a color filter by using the theory of surface tension. The surface tension is very small when hydrophobic material is on hydrophobic surface and the surface tension is very large when hydrophobic material is on hydrophilic surface. It avoids to blurry with the printed hydrophobic color materials and can get fine color filter with excellent color reappearance when the surface of pixel area is a hydrophobic surface and the surface of non-pixel area is a hydrophilic surface. This invention comprises: forming a dielectric layer on substrate; forming a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of data lines on substrate to define a plurality of pixel areas and a non-pixel area; forming a hydrophobic surface on the plurality of pixel areas; forming a hydrophilic surface on the non-pixel area; and using ink-jet printing method to print the hydrophobic color materials on the plurality of areas.

    • An electronic device may have a display such as a liquid crystal display. The display may have a color filter layer and a thin-film transistor layer. An opaque masking layer may be formed on the color filter layer. An active portion of the display may contain an array of display pixels that are controlled by control signals that are provided over intersecting gate lines and data lines. In an inactive portion of the display, gate driver circuits may be used to generate gate line signals for the gate lines. Portions of the gate lines in the gate driver circuitry, power supply lines, and common electrode lines may be formed on the thin-film-transistor layer. These lines may be electromagnetically shielded using indium tin oxide shielding layers to prevent electric fields from inducing charge in the opaque masking layer and thereby causing color artifacts.
