    • The scroll wrap section of an orbitally operating scroll comprises a flat outer circumferential section, a flat inner circumferential section, and a linearly inclined section. During the initial period of compression operation, a very small axial gap is formed between the flat outer circumferential surface of the flat outer circumferential section and the bottom of the other scroll component to allow the air to be reliably contained in the outermost circumferential compression chamber. When the compressor is warmed, the compression heat generated by the air sucked from the suction port causes the inclined section to substantially reduce the axial gap between the inclined section and the bottom of the fixed scroll component and between the inner circumferential flat section and the bottom of the fixed scroll component.

    • Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for recovering a database, distributed in two or more storage devices, based on a backup of each storage device. The backup of each storage device is acquired. In association with the backup for each storage device, a quiesce point indication is acquired. The quiesce point indication indicates backed up data of each storage device. The backed up data is based on a quiesce point. For each storage device, a recovery process is selected. For each storage device, in response to the selected recovery process being a collective copying process, recovering contents of each storage device is done by collective copying. In response to the selected recovery process being to recover based on the quiesce point indication, the contents of each storage device is recovered based on the indicated backed up data of the quiesce point indication.

    • According to one embodiment, a system includes a memory configured to store seat information which applies rank order to a plurality of seats for each of printing apparatuses, an interface configured to acquire log information on print jobs from the printing apparatuses and store the acquired log information in the memory, and a controller configured to aggregate the number of sheets printed by each of the printing apparatuses for each of users on the basis of the log information, specify the printing apparatus for each of the users using the number of sheets printed by each of the printing apparatuses aggregated for each of the users and determine a seat assignment order for the users, and assign a seat which is not yet assigned and has the highest rank from among the seats rank ordered for the printing apparatus specified for the users in the determined order.
