摘要： In combination with a fluid reservoir in which a magnetically operable switch is assembled to be closed by magnetic force of a permanent magnet on a float such that a warning signal is issued when the float moves down to a lower warning position dependent on a minimum fluid level in the reservoir, a check mechanism includes a spring loaded vertical rod extending into the interior of the reservoir from the exterior and arranged to be engaged at its lower end with the float when the surface of fluid is maintained at a predetermined level. When the vertical rod is pushed downward, the float is forcibly moved down to the lower warning position to check malfunction of the switch.

摘要： This invention concerns disc brakes of the kind in which pads are adapted to be urged by hydraulic fluid acting assembly into engagement with opposite faces of a friction disc. In a disc brake of this type in accordance with the present invention, the pads are directly supported by a stationary member secured to a stationary part of the vehicle chassis or body, while the fluid acting assembly is supported by an individual adapter which is in turn secured to the stationary part of the vehicle chassis or body so that the fluid acting assembly is freed from any affection of strain from the stationary member which normally tends to be strained under a known drag force when the brake is actuated.

摘要： A plug and its attaching hole for use in removably securing an accessory to a pressure container. This plug includes a head portion and a reduced diameter or shank portion continuous with the undersurface of the former. Build-up portions are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the shank portion, while cut-away portions are provided in the peripheral edge of the plug-attaching hole defined in the wall of the pressure container. Upon insertion of the shank portion of the plug into the plug-attaching hole, the build-up portions formed on the outer peripheral surface of the shank portion of the plug are mated with the cut-away portions, and then the plug is turned through a given angle so that the build-up portions may engage the inner peripheral edge surface of the plug-attaching hole provided in the wall of the pressure container. This prevents the plug from being blown away from the pressure container, even if a weld formed around the head portion of the plug on an outer surface of the wall of the container is failed or broken due to deterioration.

摘要： A fault diagnosis apparatus and method capable of simultaneously detecting the fault of a multiplexer and the fault of an A/D converter and isolating and identifying causes of these faults, the multiplexer and the A/D converter being used in a multi-channel analog input/output circuit. Test-voltage values are inputted from a diagnosis-voltage input unit into the multiplexer and the A/D converter constituting an analog-signal conversion unit, the multiplexer having plural channels, the A/D converter converting outputs from the multiplexer into digital signals, the test-voltage values being different from each other for each channel of the multiplexer. Comparisons are made between the digital voltage values and the test-voltage values inputted, the digital voltage values being outputted for each channel of the multiplexer. From this comparison result, it is judged whether the multiplexer is at fault or the A/D converter is at fault.

摘要： In a control apparatus which transmits/receives data from a central processing unit via a serial transfer channel to a communication control unit, and groups/distributes data of input/output units from the communication control unit via a parallel transfer channel, the control apparatus initiates a diagnosing unit of the parallel transfer channel in response to an instruction issued from the central processing unit, and diagnosis the input/output units subsequent to the diagnosis of the transmission channel. Data input/output timing of the input/output unit is also instructed from the central processing unit, so that the central processing unit can suppress lowering of response speeds caused by the diagnoses, and can maintain the periodicity of the data input/output.

A computation command signal is generated and fed to the processors in response to a start signal from any one of the processors so that the processors can make computations with different operation timings. Then, the results of the computations made by the processors are compared with each other.
