    • PURPOSE:To provide an ''abnormal feeding'' detecting circuit for use in sheet feeding apparatus, which is designed to detect optical property or other of the sheets transported successively and compare the optical property of one sheet with that of the next sheet and thus to produce an alarm signal when there is substantial difference between them, whereby a detector not affected by degradation in sensibility of the sensor element. CONSTITUTION:Sheet 10 is lighted by light source 1 and light transmitted therethrough is detected by sensor 2. Quantity of light received by sensor 2 is converted into digital amount by means of A-D converter 3. Then, the signal is supplied to register 5 and also to comprising circuit 9, in which it is compared with the signal pertinent to the preceding sheet that is given from register 6. With arrival of the next sheet, logical switches 4, 8 are turned to the opposite side, whereby signal is supplied to register 6 and at the same time signal is afforded from register 5 to comparing circuit 9. Subsequently, the above procedures take place alternately. Thus, in the arrangement of this invention, detection of abnormal sheet feeding is achieved always through comparison with preceding sheet, so that the apparatus is not affected by deterioration of the sensor element.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projection type video display unit capable of greatly shortening a projection distance of a projection optical system, reducing an interval between a screen lower edge and a display unit lower edge, and achieving compactification of the display unit.SOLUTION: A rear projection type video display unit has a housing (5) for fixedly housing projection lenses (2, 3) for enlarging and projecting an image displayed on a video display element onto a transmission type screen (6), a light path folding mirror (7) for folding a projection luminous flux from the projection lenses (2, 3) halfway, and a drive circuit for displaying a video on the video display element. Assuming that a diagonal dimension of the transmission type screen (6) is SS (inch), a depth of the housing (5) is D (inch), and a length from the lower edge of the transmission type screen (6) to the lower edge of the housing (5) is L (inch), the following conditions are satisfied: 40

    • PURPOSE:To make sheets stacked on an elevator block so as to be taken out without stopping any printing operation of a cut paper printer by setting an auxiliary tray to a discharge port of the cut paper printer when the sheets collected on the elevator block of a stacker are taken out. CONSTITUTION:When sheets stacked on an elevator block 4 of a stacker 5 are taken out, an auxiliary tray 3 is extruded out of a printer 1 after lowering the elevator block 4, and it is set to a discharge port of the printer 1. Afterward, the sheets 6 being discharged out of the discharge port are received by the auxiliary tray 3 and stacked. Next, the stacker 5 is separated from the printer 1 and, after taking out the stacked sheet 6, the empty stacker 5 is loaded in the printer 1 again, making the elevator block 4 go up, and the sheets stacked on the auxiliary tray 3 are supported by the elevator block 4. Thus, the auxiliary tray 3 is drawn into the printer 1 in a state of receiving the sheets 6 being discharged by the elevator block 4.
