摘要： The luminance of a laser diode is a function of laser diode drive current. The luminance is also a function of other factors, such as age and temperature. A laser projection device includes laser diodes to generate light in response to a commanded luminance, and also includes photodiodes to provide a measured luminance. The commanded luminance and measured luminance are compared, and drive currents for the laser diodes are adjusted to compensate for changes in laser diode characteristics.

The input device (300) includes a first end (309) having a photodetector (302) and a second end (310) having a phototransmitter (303). An image projection system output beam (124) of photons is projected on a projection surface (140) along with a projected image (128). When the photodetector (302) receives the image projection system output beam (124), the phototransmitter (303) delivers a transmitted beam (324) back to the image projection system (100). The input device (300) can be equipped with user control mechanisms so as to act as a mouse or otherwise control the image projection system (100).

摘要： A system and method for automatically performing a channel selection procedure in a wireless network includes a forward transmitter that embeds an identifier into forward data that is transmitted over a forward link. A forward receiver then receives the forward data on the forward link, and removes the identifier from the forward data. A reverse transmitter receives the identifier from the forward receiver, and embeds the identifier into reverse data that is transmitted over a reverse link on a selected reverse channel chosen from among a plurality of available reverse channels. A reverse receiver then searches the reverse channels to identify the selected reverse channel containing reverse data with the identifier embedded. The reverse receiver may then utilize the identified reverse channel for effectively receiving the reverse data.

A wireless transmitter sends data from the first DVI component to a wireless receiver, preferably at 60 GHz, and the receiver in turn sends the data to a second DVI component. Neither DVI component encrypts or decrypts data. The second DVI component sends the multimedia data to a second HDMI component for decryption and display on, e.g., an LCD or plasma display.
