    • A diaper includes an outer water impermeable layer, an inner sheet of the water permeable film and several water absorbing layers between the outer and inner sheets. First and second electrical conductors 22, each of which have separate first and second ends, are positioned in the water absorbing layers with the second ends of the conductors being positioned in the water absorbing layers and the first end of the conductors being extended to a plug unit 221 on the outer side of the outer water impermeable layer. The plug unit plugs into a connector unit 213 on a control circuit board 211 attachable to the outside of the diaper and when urine is present in the water absorbing layers adjacent the first and second conductors the resistance between the conductors decreases as water or urine wets the paper insulation around the conductors, which causes a signal transmitter 21 on the control circuit board to transmit a signal to be received by a remote receiver which produces a warning signal that the diaper is wet. A battery powers the signal transmitter and so as not to unduly waste battery power, power to the signal transmitter is cut off within a predetermined period after the transmission of the wetness-indicating signal from the transmitter.

    • An improved telephone interface device communicatively couples a local telephone set to an inside telephone wire which, in turn, is communicatively coupled to an outside telephone line from a central office of a telephone service provider. The interface device includes an on-hold switch, a ring detector, a tone decoder, and a coupling switch, all of which are coupled to the bridge via an internal signal line and a control computer. The touch tone decoder receives input tone sequences from the bridge, decodes the tone sequence, and outputs a bit signal to the control computer. The on-hold switch is responsive to a command from the control computer, and is operative to maintain the signal line at a first predetermined voltage. The coupling switch communicatively couples the signal line to a node line. When the node line is coupled to the signal line, a user at the local telephone set may communicate with another user in the home, or with an outside user. The detector compares the voltage on the signal line with a plurality of predetermined voltage ranges. If the voltage on the signal line is within a predetermined voltage range, then the comparator outputs a logic high value to the control computer. A local phone connector is communicatively coupled to the local telephone set and to the node line. During intercom operations, DC power is supplied to the local telephone set via an intercom power switch and the local phone connector.

    • Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, a display is powered on to display a projected image, and the operation of one or more display elements are ramped up until a stabilized state is reached. During said ramping up, a light source of the display is powered display at less than full power until the stabilized state is reached. While the light source is operating at less than full power, a splash screen may be displayed. After the stabilized state is reached, the light source can then be operated at or near full power. By providing a light output that is less than full power during ramp up, the display does not need to wait until the stabilized state is reached before the light source is powered on. As a result, the projector provides an output earlier in time to cue to the user that the projector is operating.

    • A fabricating method for a pixel structure is provided. First, a substrate having an active device and a capacitor electrode line thereon is provided. Next, a passivation layer is formed on the substrate to cover the active device. After that, a light shielding layer is formed on the passivation layer to define a unit area. Next, an ink-jet printing is performed to form a color filter pattern within the unit area defined by the light shielding layer. After that, a portion of the color filter pattern is removed to form a first hole above active device. Next, the passivation layer exposed by the first hole is removed so as to form a contact hole exposing a portion of the active device. After that, a pixel electrode is formed on the color filter pattern to fill into the contact hole so as to electrically connect with active device.
