The cable can include conductors, a memory storing cable data, and circuitry configured to respond to a request received on at least one of the conductors by accessing at least some of the cable data and asserting the accessed data serially to at least one of the conductors (e.g., for transmission to an external device). Other aspects of the invention are methods for accessing cable data stored in a cable and optionally using the data (e.g., to implement equalization). The cable data can be indicative of all or some of cable type, grade, speed, length, and impedance, a date code, a frequency-dependent attenuation table, far-end crosstalk and EMI-related coefficients, common mode radiation, intra pair skew, and other information. The cable can include a radiation-emitting element and circuitry for generating driving signals for causing the radiation-emitting element to produce an appropriate color, brightness, and/or blinking pattern.

The service works with a database of professionals who subscribe to the service by selecting AOPs in which they want to be included. From a web page presenting organized links for the AOPs, a user clicks on an AOP link, which takes the user to a form to be completed with appropriate information for that AOP and the user's contact information. The user then initiates a search and is presented with a listing of subscribers near a zip code specified by the user and matching the AOP. The user can select subscribers to which the inquiry will be sent directly by email. The inquiry includes the user's contact information and inquiry details, allowing subscribers to decide whether to reply to the inquiry.

The delivery cannula and pusher are used to accurately place the sponge pledget outside the blood vessel. An easy loader connector may be used to facilitate loading the dry pledget into the staging chamber.

摘要： A surgical spring clip includes a first molded component having a first jaw and a first finger tab. A second component having a second jaw and a second finger tab comprises the only other molded component. The first component has a telescoping relationship with the second component and is moveable by operation of the finger tab between a first position wherein the jaws are generally closed and a second position wherein the jaws are generally open. A spring disposed between the tabs and the jaws biases the first and second components toward the first position. The clip has a telescoping barrel with the general shape of a polygon in radial cross-section. An increased guidance link provides the clip with a guidance ratio of about 1.5 ratio. Alignment of the components is further enhanced by the provision of ramped projections and the accommodation of tolerances only along one side of the telescoping barrel. A simplified method of assembly requires movement of the second component through a window in the first component.

摘要： Internally calibrated pH and other analyte sensors based on redox agents provide more accurate results when the redox active reference agent is in a constant chemical environment, yet separated from the solution being analyzed in such a way as to maintain electrical contact with the sample. Room temperature ionic liquids (RTIL) can be used to achieve these results when used as a salt bridge between the reference material and the sample being analyzed. The RTIL provides the constant chemical environment and ionic strength for the redox active material (RAM) and provides an electrolytic layer that limits or eliminates direct chemical interaction with the sample. A broad range of RAMs can be employed in a variety of configurations in such “Analyte Insensitive Electrode” devices.
