    • A diffusion sheet, a backlight assembly including the same and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device are provided to improve the viewing angle and brightness of the LCD device by changing the diameter of a diffusion pattern according to the position of a diffusion array. A diffusion sheet includes a transparent base material(10) and a plurality of diffusion arrays(DA). The diffusion arrays include a plurality of diffusion patterns(20) having the shape of a solid on the transparent base material. Each of diffusion patterns included in the diffusion arrays has a different diameter according to positions of the diffusion arrays. In the diffusion sheet, the diameter of the diffusion pattern is gradually reduced from the diffusion arrays positioned at one end of the transparent base material to the diffusion arrays positioned at the other end of the transparent base material.

Multiple projections are placed on surfaces of the diffusion beads. The diameter of the diffusion beads is 3 to 50mum. The diffusion beads include diffusing agents. The diffusing agents are organic particles or inorganic particles.

    • A diffuse sheet, and a backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display including the same are provided to improve a visible angle of a brightness characteristic of the liquid crystal display by including a diffuse pattern provided with a predetermined gradation array on the diffuse sheet. A diffuse sheet(100) includes a transparent substrate(10) and a plurality of diffuse patterns(20). The transparent substrate has a plate shape made of a transparent material. A thickness of the transparent substrate is in a range of 10 to 1000 micrometers and preferably is in a range of 25 to 600 micrometers. The transparent substrate has mechanical strength and thermal stability. The transparent substrate has proper flexibility. The diffuse patterns for diffusing light are arranged on one surface of the transparent substrate. A top surface of the diffuse pattern has a round surface shape. Diameters of the diffuse patterns are in a range of 30 to 80 micrometers and preferably are in a range of approximately 40 to 60 micrometers. The diffuse patterns positioned on the transparent substrate substantially have the same diameter.

CONSTITUTION: A composite reflective polarizing film(100) comprises a first base material(110), a cholesteric liquid crystal layer(120), a horizontal orientation liquid crystal layer(130), and a compensating layer. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer is directly formed on one side of the first base material. The compensating layer is formed on the other side of the first base material. The horizontal orientation liquid crystal layer is directly formed on one side of the compensating layer. An orientation film is included between the cholesteric liquid crystal layer and the horizontal orientation liquid crystal layer.
