    • An injection molding machine for low-melting point metallic material has an injection mechanism having a tip portion, a melting cylinder and a rear portion holding a drive mechanism. The tip portion has a weighing chamber and a nozzle member feeding a mold. The melting cylinder is held at an oblique angle to promote gravity flow of the molten metal toward the tip portion. The melting cylinder encloses an agitating and injection mechanism that rotates and advances or retreats freely within the cylinder. One agitating and injection mechanism has a hollow shaft surrounding an injection rod tipped by an injection plunger that moves lengthwise in the shaft and agitating wings disposed around the tip end of the hollow shaft. The wings reach the inner sides of the cylinder and rotate. The plunger may extend beyond the shaft to be inserted in the weighing chamber.

    • An injection molding machine for low-melting point metallic material has an injection mechanism having a melting cylinder, an injection device, and a driving device. The driving device is disposed on the rear end of the melting cylinder for driving the injection device and includes a pedestal movable to advance and retreat freely to support the injection mechanism obliquely. A nozzle touch block on a tip end portion of the pedestal is touched obliquely by the nozzle member of the melting cylinder. A frame on a rear portion of the pedestal supports a rear portion of the injection mechanism and the driving device obliquely. A nozzle touch device touches an injection nozzle to a mold in the mold clamping mechanism by moving the pedestal with the injection mechanism toward the mold clamping mechanism.

    • An injection method and apparatus for melted metals are provided to transfer the metals, to melt them by external heat, and to meter and degas the metals by employing a reservoir to reserve metals in liquid phase. The injection apparatus includes a heating cylinder having a fore end portion which communicates with a nozzle member and of which internal diameter is made smaller to serve as a metering chamber, and an injection screw installed within the heating cylinder to be movable and rotational. A reservoir for reserving melted metals in liquid phase has an axis provided between the plunger and a feeding portion containing a screw flight around the axis. A projected portion for limiting the feeding of granular metals flowing to the reservoir and for preventing the metals in liquid phase from flowing backward during injection is provided on a boundary between the feeding portion and the reservoir.

    • It is an object of the present invention to prevent oxidation during the metal melting, by suspending both heating and supply of metal material under the monitoring by measuring the oxygen concentration in the inactive gas atmosphere. A oxidation prevent method of melting metal material by a melting vessel 1 comprising inside a rotatable agitation member 8, having a weighing chamber 4 communicating with a nozzle member 2, and an injection member 9 advanceably and retractably inserting an extremity injection plunger 12 passing through the agitation member 8 in the weighing chamber 4, and the melting vessel being installed on a slant with the nozzle member 2 downside. The space area over the melted metal surface 15a of the melting vessel 1 is made into inactive gas atmosphere. The oxygen concentration in this space area is measured and monitored. It is judged as error when the measured oxygen concentration exceeds a predetermined reference value, and heating and material supply are suspended to prevent the melt metal from oxidizing.
