摘要： PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency and safety by providing the base supporting the turret of a turret lathe with a tool magazine, picking a tool up from a tool holder on the tool magazine with a robot,and loading and unloading tools at tool rests of the turret. CONSTITUTION:In order to fit a tool (a) on each tool holder 10 of a rotary table 9 to one of tool rests 8 provided to the turret of a turret lathe, the rotary table 9 is rotated according to the command signal from a controller. When the tool holder 10 for a specified tool (a) is positioned at a tool change position 9a, the swivel arm 14 of a robot 11 is swiveled to oppose a tool gripper 18 to the tool (a). Then, the tool gripper 18 is lowered with an air cylinder 17 to grip the tool (a), raised swiveling the arm 14, and stopped being opposed to a tool change position 6a of the turret 6. The lowering of the tool gripper 18 at this position firmly fixes the tool (a) to the tool rest 8.

Meanwhile, in the intermediate section of the draw bar 8, there is provided a pinion 19 which constitutes a pinion mechanism, along the outer peripheral surface of the draw bar 8. Further, a retractable rack 21 meshed with the pinion 19 is disposed in a guide groove 20 formed in the inner peripheral section of the guide hole in a part opposing the pinion 19.

CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 40 is mounted to the upper surface of a base bed 9 of a tool assembly device 38 in a manner to be vertically protruded through the upper surface, the cylinder 40 is provided with a rod 41, and an oil pressure feed nozzle 42 is located to the tip thereof. The oil pressure feed nozzle 42 is positioned facing an oil pressure feed port formed in a holder module 12 of a modular tool 5 supported to a tool holder 11. An oil pressure can be fed to a hydraulic cylinder 18 by connecting the oil pressure feed nozzle 42 to the oil pressure feed port through raising of the rod 41. Namely, control of a draw bar 17 of the modular tool 5 enables coupling and discoupling of the holder module 12 to and from a blade part module 13.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically assemble and disassemble a modular tool, by operating a coupling mechanism with the use of a nut runner after a holder module and a cutting part module are coupled together with their phases are interlocked with each other in association with the rotation of a spindle. CONSTITUTION:In the case of that a cutting part module 12 is coupled to a holder module 13 attached on a spindle 43, when a slide device 31 lowers a body 30, a latch pawl 27 in the holder module 13 runs away until it abuts against the base section of the cutting part module 12 while the spindle 34 is moved upward so that a stop ring 48 abuts against a flange 32. In this condition, when the spindle 34 is rotated by a first rotary actuator 50 through a belt 53, an engaging pawl 27 and an engaging hole 17 are engaged together with their phases being interlocked with each other. Then, the holder module 13 and the cutting part module are integrally coupled to a nut runner 54. Thus, it is possible to automatically assemble and disassemble the modular tool, and therefore, it is possible to chance the operating factor of the machine.

CONSTITUTION:A holder module 13 is provided with a draw bar 26 having a hooking claw 27. On the other hand, a coupling hole 17 for coupling to said claw 27 is formed at the foot 14 of a cutter module 12, and the external surface of the foot 14 is provided with a notch 19 for inserting and holding from the axial direction of the cutter module 12 and a groove 20 for holding from a direction orthogonal with said axial direction, thereby holding the phase of the coupling hole 17 of the cutter module 12 in alignment. According to the aforesaid constitution, a tool can be kept stably against an external force, easily coupled to and dismantled from the holder thereof and easily retained thereon.

摘要： PURPOSE:To automatize assembling and disassembling of a modular tool and miniaturize a device by providing a magazine for housing a tool part module, a chuck for feeding said tool part module, and a combining mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A chuck 30 is opened and closed by means of a rotary actuator 29 on the end of a rotary arm 27 which is rotated by a driving mechanism 26, to hold a tool module (a) from the tool supporting part 4 of a magazine 2 provided on one side of a body 1. The rotary arm 27 is lifted up by an air cylinder 28 and 180 deg. rotated, to transfer the tool module (a) to an assembling position 6 provided on the other side. And, as the tool module (a) is engaged with a holder module (b) which is being clamped by a clamping mechanism 10, it is tightened and combined by means of a nut runner 31 provided on the other end side of the rotary arm 27. Then, the combined tool is fed to a machine tool by means of a traverser device, while a used tool is returned and disassembled by reversing above procedures.
