    • PURPOSE:To make a tool chip storage in small size and reduce the drive power for carrying in and out in an automatic tool replacement system for a machine tool by incorporating an arrangement whereby only the edge module of each modular tool can be replaced. CONSTITUTION:In this automatic tool replacement system, a tool storage 26, tool carry-in and -out device 29, tool assembly/disassembly device 30 and machine tool 21 are controlled in a lump by a CPU, and the processing sequence is decided according to the machining schedule. A modular tool A specified from the tool storage 26 is carried out by the tool carry-in and -out device 29, and assembled by the tool assembly/disassembly device 30, and then mounted on the machine tool 27 by an automatic tool replacement device 33. further, the tool which has been fitted on a machine tool 21 is demounted and handed over to the tool assembly/disassembly device 30, where the tool is disassembled into bitter modules a-c, and only unnecessary modules are carried into the tool storage 26 by the tool carry-in and -out device 29.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the setting job efficiency for commodities by performing comparison and collation between the check patterns of commodities supplied in voices from a voice input device and various types of voice input patterns stored previously so that the identification codes of the coincident pattern data into a data carrier of commodities and then read out for output in voices. CONSTITUTION:Various data on a working tool 1 to be checked are supplied from a voice input device 2 of a commodity checking device and undergo the spectrum waveform processing through a spectrum processing circuit 6. These processed data are supplied to a pattern extracting circuit 7 of a commodity data setting means 3. The pattern data extracted by the circuit 7 is stored in a pattern memory 8. When the tool 1 is set at a prescribed position, the pattern data supplied from the device 2 in voices via the means 3 is compared with the pattern stored in the memory 8 via a comparing/deciding part 9. Then the coincident pattern data is supplied to a personal computer 10 and the commodity data is written into a data carrier 5.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a high fastening force, by a method wherein the one end is connected to a top part, positioned facing the forward and backward movement direction of a draw bar, the other end is connected to the inner surface side of a through-hole, and a press rod, disposing forward and backward the draw bar according to movement of the top, is provided. CONSTITUTION:A coupling part 5a of a holder module 1 is brought into a state in that the coupling part is protruded forward from a faucet engaging part 3. The coupling part is brought into this state in a way to move a top 9 through control of a hexagonal part 8a of an actuating screw 8 to bring a push rod 10 into an inclined state based on the axis of a draw bar 5. Thereafter, a coupling hole 17b of a balde part module 2 is inserted outwardly of the coupling part 5a, and at a point of time when a bolt 18 is brought into contact with a guide groove 19, a holding member 16 of the blade part modle 2 is rotated until the bolt 18 is forced into contact with the end part of the guide groove 19. This rotation causes locking of the coupling part 5a with an angaging hole 17b. Thereafter, through rotational control of the hexagonal part 8a, the top 9 is reversely moved to couple the blade part module 2 with the holder module.

    • PURPOSE:To apply machining and boring to a work selectively by furnishing a means to make assembly and disassembly of a holder module and a cutting edge module and a means to perform handover/receipt of the cutting edge module. CONSTITUTION:An automatic tool replacement device 6 is furnished between a tool magazine 5 and a tool holding table 3. The tool magazine 5 consists of an eliptical guide rail 7 and a plate chain 8, and each plate of this plate chain 8 is equipped with a tool holder 10 consisting of a through hole. One modular tool 11 consisting of a holder module 12 and a cutting edge module 13 is accommodated in each of these tool holders 10. A tool grip 21 and a tool assembly device 22 are installed on the above-mentioned tool holding table 3. At both ends of a tool replacement arm 45 are installed clampers 48, 49, which are to grip a flange part 16 of holder module 12 to constitute the modular tool 11. This arrangement allows the tool base to be used commonly, wherein replacement is made only for edge tips of a fixed tool to perform machining and a rotary tool to perform boring.

    • PURPOSE:To make a tool magazine in small size and suppress the cost by fitting a cutting edge module on an assembly main shaft with respect to a holder module, and by dismantling the tool after use to enable replacement of the edge part solely automatically. CONSTITUTION:When machining with a modular tool 11 is finished to be followed by machining with a new one, a tool specification signal is given to a tool magazine 5, and a tool holder 10 holding a specified edge part module 13 is located in the tool assembly position 21. Then a holder module 12 of an assembly head 26 mates with said edge part module 13 of holder 10, and a detent pawl 17 of this holder module 12 is detained with a detent hole 18 in the edge part module 13 to to cause coupling of the module 12 with 13, and when assembly of the modular tool 11 is completed, the edge part module 13 will slip off from the holder 10 to separate from the tool magazine 5. Then the modular tool 11 of the head 26 is located in the same position as the modular tool 11 on the main shaft 2 viewed in the X-Y direction, and clampers 48, 49 replace the told tool 11 with new one 11 with the aid of a rotating tool replacement arm 45.
