摘要： There is provided a service providing system that is capable of preventing personal information on a user who has used a service from being leaked to other users without spoiling the convenience for the user, and increasing the frequency with which the user uses the service. The service providing system includes a service providing apparatus that provides a service for the user, and a password issuing device that issues a password with an expiration date that is made to correspond to identification information held by the user in response to the payment of a fee by the user. The service providing apparatus includes a memory that stores setting data used for simplifying operations relating to the service provided for the user, and a CPU. The CPU authenticates the user according to the identification information on the user, the password issued to the user, and the expiration date thereof, and gives the authenticated user a permission to perform operations on the setting data stored in the memory.

摘要： Upon detection of the attachment of a recording medium, an image signal obtained by taking a picture and condition information representing a condition in which the picture is taken are read out from a memory in an image pickup apparatus and recorded on the recording medium. The apparatus is also arranged in such a manner that the condition information recorded on the recording medium may be transferred to the memory. With this arrangement, it becomes possible to process the image signal by using the condition information stored in the memory, even in a situation in which the recording medium is detached. Furthermore, it becomes possible to inherit the condition information even when the recording medium is exchanged.

The image signal for one field is then divided into n blocks by reading the image signal from the memory n times where n is an integer equal to at least two. The n divided image signals are then subjected to one-channel signal processing, and the respective image signals subjected to the signal processing are then recorded on a recording medium sequentially in different tracks. During reproduction, if little time is available, only selected ones of the n blocks are read and the entire image is interpolated therefrom.

摘要： The present invention provides a patterning unit of a warp knitting machine in which a stator of a linear pulse motor is assembled in a holding member and a plurality of moving elements are provided at arbitrary intervals on the same holding member with part of the moving elements being constructed as a guide point. A control method increases reliability of accuracy of positioning of the moving elements and eliminates erroneous operation such as step-out by providing a position sensor in connection with the poles and by controlling movement of the moving elements based on detected positions thereof and a set of parameters. The control method includes providing the moving elements each with a linear motor coil assembly for functioning in conjunction with the linear motor stator to move the moving elements along the holding member. The position sensor is for detecting absolute positions of the moving elements along the holding member in increments of a pitch gage of a knitting pattern of the guide members and a pitch gage of poles of the linear motor stator such that positions of the moving elements are detected as a multiple of the pitch gage of the poles of the linear motor stator.
