    • PURPOSE:To attain high speed operation by forming the circuit with two complementary MOS inverters having different threshold voltages and a switching circuit switching an output of this inverter. CONSTITUTION:The complementary MOS inverter having a high threshold voltage and the complementary MOS inverter I3 having a low threshold voltage are connected to an input terminal 1. An output of the inverters I2, I3 is given to an input terminal of two transmission gates T1, T2 comprising the complementary MOSes. Then, the output of each gate is connected to an output terminal 2 by connecting the outputs. The transmission gates T1, T2 are switched in response to the output of the inverters I2, I3, and when a voltage at the input terminal 1 is increased from 0V to the power supply voltage, the output 1 is changed by the threshold voltage of the inverter I2 and when the input voltage is changed inversely, the output 2 is changed by the threshold voltage of the inverter I3.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a watch which has a better sound and no trouble in keeping time, by a method wherein a priority is given to a step motor drive by detecting a cell voltage being lower than a given value at an instant one second before a step motor starts to drive. CONSTITUTION:A control signal a from a control part 3 whereto a divided pulse from a frequency divider 2 is applied is inverted into a high level during the operation of an alarm device 8 and one second before a step motor 9 starts to drive. Thus, a cell voltage is detected by a voltage detector in a cell voltage detector 4, and the device is prohibitted through an inversion detecting output in case the cell voltage is below a given voltage, and a priority is given to a driving of the motor 9. This constitution prohibits the generation of an alarm sound only where necessary, and produces an electronic watch which has a better sound and no trouble in keeping good time.

CONSTITUTION:When an alarm device 8 and a step motor 9 work simultaneously, a control signal a applied to a cell voltage detecting circuit 4 is inverted into a high level, and a voltage detector 13 detects a cell voltage. If the voltage becomes below a given value, an output f of the detector 13 is inverted into a high level, and a latch output by NOR gates 10 and 11 is inverted into a high level. Thus, an output of an NOR gate 12, with which an input on one side of the alarm device 8 is produced into an output of a sound composite circuit 14, is inverted into a low level, and a transistor 20 turns OFF to prohibit an alarm motor. Only a driving of the motor 9 is conducted, and if driving of the motor 9 is completed, the prohibition of the motor 8 is released to prevent the occurrence of trouble in keeping good time due to a heavy load.
