Since the light-out sweep is performed from h to a during the charging and from a to h during the discharging, the charge or discharge condition can be perceived easily.

At the fall of the pulse input to terminal beta, the gate voltage of TRTP1 rises rapidly like waveform 2-a since the output impedance of TRTP4 is low and that of TRTN1 rises slowly since the output impedance of TRTP5 is high. Consequently, the through currents of the driving transistors can be reduced to prolong the life of a battery.

A display difference counter 15 counts and stores the display time and the present time of the hand, and moves the hand until the content of the counter 15 becomes zero when the hand is transferred from the alarm time display to the present time display. By operating a switch for confirming the hand display state, different sounds are generated according to the present time display, present time correcting state, alarm time or set state.
