    • In a lens barrel of the present invention, a M-cam frame is engaged with a rotary frame and movable frame so that the M-cam frame can rotate and advance or withdraw freely. A second group-of-lenses frame is engaged with the M-cam frame. A first cam follower is fixed to the M-cam frame with an edged shaft thereof press-fitted to the M-cam frame. A second cam follower having an edged slider surface is fixed to the second group-of-lenses frame. The slider surface of the first cam follower is engaged with a cam groove formed in the rotary frame so that the first cam follower can slide freely. The slider surface of the second cam follower is engaged with a cam groove formed in the M-cam frame so that the second cam follower can slide freely. The shaft of the first cam follower which is press-fitted will hardly come out owing to the edge thereof. Moreover, the second cam follower will hardly come off from the cam groove owing to the edge thereof.

    • A speech analysis unit and a window locating means are implemented in a speech coding apparatus. The speech coding apparatus encodes input speech per analysis frame defined having a fixed length and is offset at fixed interval. The speech analysis unit extracts frequency spectrum characteristic parameters of the input speech taken within an analysis window. The location of the analysis window is specified by the window locating means. The window locating unit selects the location of the analysis window which is used in extracting the frequency spectrum characteristic parameters at the speech analysis unit. In this case, depending upon the characteristic parameter of the input speech within and near the frame concerned, the window locating unit selects the location of the analysis window within the range which is not to be exceeding the range of the frame concerned.

    • An intersong detecting circuit for an automatic music selecting device for a record player in which intersong intervals are accurately detected even for a disc having irregular reflectivities or between discs of different reflectivities. An intersong sensor detects intersong intervals between adjacent songs on a recording disc. The output signal from the intersong sensor is sampled and held at a rate determined by a leading-in time/reproducing time time-constant switching signal. The sampled-and-held signal is compared with the output of the sensor to produce a differential signal and an intersong identification signal is produced when the differential signal exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
