    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a toner having excellent low-temperature fixability, causing no toner aggregation even in a high humidity environment, capable of securing charging stability, suppressing filming and preventing image degradation.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes charging means, exposing means, developing means, transfer means, fixing means and cleaning means, in which a toner used for forming an image is produced by an aqueous granulation process. The toner contains silica fine particles as an additive on a surface of a toner base, and the silica comprises porous silica fine particles having fine pores on the surface thereof. A coverage area ratio of the porous silica fine particles with respect to the toner base area is 5 to 20%. The porous silica fine particles have an average primary particle diameter of 20 to 200 nm, an absolute specific gravity of 2.0 g/cmor less, and a specific surface area of 20 to 500 m/g.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner containing crystalline polyester and having anti-filming property and anti-spent property to a carrier, having stable low-temperature fixability, high temperature offset resistance and heat-resistant storage property, and to provide an image forming apparatus mounting the toner.SOLUTION: The toner has a volume average particle diameter (Dv) of 4.0 to 6.0 μm, obtained by dispersing an oil phase, which comprises at least one of a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin as a binder resin component included in an organic solvent, into an aqueous medium, and then removing the organic solvent from the obtained dispersion liquid. The toner contains at least two kinds of additives on the surface thereof, in which an additive (A) having the maximum average primary particle diameter in the additives has a coverage CA expressed by formula (A) in the range from 5% to 10%, and an additive (B) having the minimum average primary particle diameter in the additives has a coverage CB expressed by formula (B) in the range from 45% to 100%.
