    • PURPOSE:To uniformize the distribution of flow velocity in a lateral direction by forming the opening of a partition wall in the peripheral direction at a position separated from a jet orifice and gradually decreasing the opening area per unit length of the partition plate from a liquid supply port to an opposite liquid supply port and making the opening larger than the jet orifice. CONSTITUTION:The opening 7 of a partition plate 5 in the peripheral direction thereof is formed at a position separated from a jet orifice 10 and the area per unit length of the partition wall 5 of the opening 7 is gradually reduced from a liquid supply port 6 to an opposite liquid supply port. That is, the slit width of the slit like opening 7 is gradually reduced from an opening end 14 to an opening end 13. The width (a) of the opening 7 is made larger than the width (b) of the jet orifice 10. By this constitution, the flow velocity of the liquid injected to a strip 1 can be prevented from lowering at the end part on the side of the liquid supply port 6 and the distribution of the flow rate in the lateral direction of the strip can be more uniformized and uniform treatment can be performed.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the supply quantity of electrolyte and to simplify a device by receiving electrolyte fed from below a pair of electrodes in a trap above the electrode and transferring it to a nozzle through a communicative pipe to supply it to another pair of electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Between electrodes 5, 5' vertically arranged contrary to each other is made to travel a strip 2 through conductor rolls 3, 3' to give the strip electroplating by jetting electrolyte. In the vertical jet plating device, primary liquid supply nozzles 4 are arranged under one electrolytic cell and electrolyte is fed from below upwards between the electrodes 5. The electrolyte is received in a transit electrolyte trap 8 arranged above and further transferred through a communicative pipe (not illustrated) to a second liquid supply nozzle 9 arranged above the other electrolytic cell. From here, further the electrolyte is fed from above downwards between the electrodes 5' and discharged to a liquid receiver tank 1 through an electrolyte discharge device 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary sealing method capable of preventing generation of surface flaws or wrinkles of a strip while leakage of the treatment solution is prevented to a maximum. SOLUTION: In an equipment in which a strip S is passed between a pair of seal rolls 2, 3 provided on at least either of the inlet side and the outlet side of a treatment tank 1 to continuously pass the strip S, the gap between the circumferential surfaces of a pair of sealing rolls 2, 3 is set to be larger than the thickness of the strip by 0.3-2mm to realize the non-contact relationship between the strip surface and the circumferential surfaces of the sealing rolls, the treatment solution is squeezed by the space which is formed by the seal rolls and gradually reduced in the advancing direction of the strip, and a thin film layer made by the treatment solution in the treatment tank is formed between the strip surface and the circumferential surfaces of the sealing rolls to generate the sealing force to the treatment solution. The seal rolls are of the rotary type, and generation of surface flaws is controlled even when the strip is brought into contact with the sealing rolls by matching the rotational direction of the sealing rolls with the strip passing direction, and agreeing the peripheral speed of the sealing rolls with the strip passing speed to set the relative speed to be zero.

As a result, the waste liquid flowing along the passage parts of the strip 2 flow out in the form of the horizontal flow through the through-holes 4 toward the discharge ports 6, thereby smoothing the flow of the liquid and suppressing the occurrence of vibration in the strip 2.

A freely rotatable dum roll 13 is disposed to the lower side of the header 12 to sandwich the strip 1. A connecting body 14 to prevent the leakage of the electrolyte is connected to the lower part of the other electrode 3' and the rotary seal 15 is disposed to the lower side of the connecting body 14. The spacing with the strip 1 is changed by rotating this seal 15 by which the amt. of the electrolyte is adjusted. The gushing header 12' is connected to the upper part of a cell body 9' having the electrode 3'.

The buffer material 9 is made up at least of carpet fabric woven of continuous alumina-filaments, and compression-stress relaxation belts 9a are provided on both ends of the buffer material 9 in the axial direction of the roll shaft.
