    • The present invention relates to a vertical type stream plating apparatus for plating the surface of a metal strip (1) with tin, chromium, copper or the like. Fundamentally, the apparatus comprises an electrolyte feeding nozzle for feeding an electrolyte into a space between electrodes, a side seal provided on both sides in the widthwise direction of the electrode and a pressure equalizing chamber (18) provided on the backside of the electrode (17). The apparatus further comprises a electrode having a plurality of through holes communicating with the pressure equalizing chamber provided in an electrode box, waste electrolyte equipment provided with a waste electrolyte box for gathering and discharging the electrolyte and a seal equipment provided at the lowermost portion of the apparatus for preventing the outflow of the electrolyte. The above constitution enables the flow rate distribution of the electrolyte in the widthwise direction of the strip to be made more homogeneous than the prior art and enables the flow rate of the electrolyte to be increased without causing problems of vibration (fluttering phenomenon) of the strip and adsorption of the strip to the electrode, which contributes to an increase in the speed of plating and an improvement in the quality of plating.

    • PURPOSE:To make the device integral and compact by disposing a settling chamber above a dissolving chamber, disposing a filter in the treating liquid outlet of the upper part of this settling chamber and connecting a metal introducing pipe to the lower part of the settling chamber. CONSTITUTION:This metal ion dissolving device is formed of ' a vertically long integral cylindrical structure provided with the settling chamber 2 in the upper part of the dissolving chamber 1. A filter unit 9 and the final treating liquid outlet 13 are disposed in an overflow section 7 of the settling chamber 2. The treating liquid is replenished from a circulating tank through a treating liquid supply port 12 into a treating liquid replenishing chamber 6 in the lower part of the device. The treating liquid is supplied through a perforated plate 4 into the dissolving chamber 1. Metallic particles/pieces are replenished from a charging port 16 existing upper than an overflow 7 bath surface by a metallic particle/piece introducing pipe 3 into the dissolving chamber 1 without disturbing the flow of the settling chamber 2. The dissolving chamber 1 stores the metallic particles/pieces and allows the treating liquid rising from the lower side to pass through these particles/pieces, thereby dissolving the metallic particles/ pieces as metal ions into the treating liquid.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the supply quantity of electrolyte and to simplify a device by receiving electrolyte fed from below a pair of electrodes in a trap above the electrode and transferring it to a nozzle through a communicative pipe to supply it to another pair of electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Between electrodes 5, 5' vertically arranged contrary to each other is made to travel a strip 2 through conductor rolls 3, 3' to give the strip electroplating by jetting electrolyte. In the vertical jet plating device, primary liquid supply nozzles 4 are arranged under one electrolytic cell and electrolyte is fed from below upwards between the electrodes 5. The electrolyte is received in a transit electrolyte trap 8 arranged above and further transferred through a communicative pipe (not illustrated) to a second liquid supply nozzle 9 arranged above the other electrolytic cell. From here, further the electrolyte is fed from above downwards between the electrodes 5' and discharged to a liquid receiver tank 1 through an electrolyte discharge device 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal type spray washing device for strips which prevents the splashing of spray washing water to another spraying tank and recovers the splashed spray washing water into the original spraying tank where the water is sprayed to prevent the contamination of the washing water in the next spraying tank. SOLUTION: The respective spraying tanks 2 are independently constituted. The outlet side of wringer rolls 6 is provided with partition plates 7 formed with openings to allow the passage of the strip so as to extend up to the upper level of the parting walls from a ceiling cover 8. The lower part of the wringer rolls is provided with liquid receiving pans 9 heading toward the inside of the spraying tanks just before the partition plates from the bottom ends of the plates. The final spraying tank is provided with a liquid receiving trough 12 in the upper part of the opening in the outlet of the tank. The lower part of the wringer rolls in the inlet of the strip washing tank is provided with a liquid receiving trough 10. The final spraying tank is provided with the partition plates between spray pipes and the wringer rolls.
