      SOLUTION: In the jet flow type pickling equipment where a steel strip 1 is horizontally threaded in a state where tensile is applied between linger rolls 3, 3 lying at the inlet side and outlet side of a pickling tank 2, and is dipped into a pickling liquid in the pickling tank 2, the vicinities of exhaust ports 6a, 6b for the pickling liquid lying at the inlet side and outlet side of the pickling tank 2 are provided with an inlet side weir 5a and an outlet side weir 5b, respectively. Further, the height of the inlet side weir 5a and the outlet side weir 5b is made regulatable, and, even if the threading speed of the steel strip 2 is changed by the regulation in the height of the inlet side weir 5a and the outlet side weir 5b, the ratio between the amount of the pickling liquid exhausted to the exhaust port 6a of the pickling liquid at the inlet side over the inlet side weir 5a and the amount of the pickling liquid exhausted to the exhaust port 6b for the pickling liquid at the outlet side over the outlet side weir 5b is made constant.

      SOLUTION: The device 10 for preventing overcoat at the edge includes: a first electrifying member 15 which sends an electric current to a first soluble electrode 11 arranged in a middle part in the width direction of the steel strip; second electrifying members 16, 17 and 18 which send an electric current to second soluble electrodes 12, 13 and 14 arranged in both ends of the steel strip in the width direction; and an electrification-switching part 20 which switches between electrification and non-electrification to the first and second electrifying members 15-18. The electrification-switching part 20 includes: first and second fixed contact parts 21-24 which constitute one end of the first and second electrifying members 15-18; and a movable contact member 25 which advances/retreats from the first fixed contact part 21 side to the second fixed contact part 24 side and contacts the first and second fixed contact parts 21-24 while sliding.

      SOLUTION: The payoff reel 10 comprises a rotation driving unit 11, and a mandrel 13 in which a base side is supported by the rotation driving unit 11 in a cantilever beam shape and a coil 12 is inserted from a fore end side. In the payoff reel 10 for rewinding, a first face plate 14 is fitted to the base side of the mandrel 13, and a second face plate 16 is attachably/detachably fitted to the fore end side of the mandrel 13 by a face plate attaching/detaching mechanism 15. The first face plate 14 is movable in the axial direction of the mandrel 13 by a first face plate moving means 17 together with the rotation driving unit 11, and the second face plate 16 is movable in the axial direction of the mandrel 13 by a second face plate moving means 18 provided on the face plate attaching/detaching mechanism 15. The installation positions of the first and second face plates 14, 16, respectively, are adjusted according to the width of the coil 12.
