    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing a base-isolating device in an existing building, which facilitates installation of the base-isolating device in a prescribed position, allows the base-isolating device to be firmly fixed to the existing building, simplifies a means for use in the installation, and enables positioning, etc., to be humanly performed with ease.
      SOLUTION: Many headed iron rods 1Sd are provided protrusively in a pile/column part 1B on the downside of a gap A for the installation and a pile/column part 1C on the upside of the gap A; a lower plate 24, wherein many cap nuts 24a are provided protrusively on the downside, is fixed to a prescribed position on the pile/column part 1B; an upper plate 25, wherein many cap nuts 25a are provided protrusively on the upside, is temporarily fixed to a height position below the pile/column part 1C; the base-isolating device 20 is located in the prescribed position on the lower plate 24; the upper plate 25 under a state of release of temporal fixation is located in a prescribed position on the base-isolating device 20; the lower plate 24, the base-isolating device 20 and the upper plate 25 are made to maintain prescribed positional relationships among them; forms are arranged around an area of the arrangement of the cap nuts 24a and 25a, the headed iron rods 1Sd, etc., between the pile/ column parts 1B and 1C and the plates 24 and 25; mortar is infilled in the forms; and the lower plate 24, the base-isolating device 20 and the upper plate 25 are fixed to the pile/column parts 1B and 1C. After the placed concrete has cured, the ground is excavated until at least the pile head treating material of the pile head is exposed and the pipe of the fluid pump is connected to an input valve of the pile head treating material constituted as the thin shaped fluid pressure jack. The pump is driven to feed the high pressure fluid to pile head treating material. Cracks are brought in the concrete of the pile head part by expanding the pile head treating material to break the failure concrete part and remove it.
