    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus in which an agitation blade of a special shape is used thereby even viscous leftovers such as boiled rice and noodles can be efficiently agitated in pieces without bunching up together and the time to dry garbage can be shortened.
      SOLUTION: The garbage treatment apparatus is provided with a treatment tank 5, a rotary shaft 18 arranged horizontally in the treatment tank and the agitation blade 19 for agitating garbage arranged freely rotatably around the rotary shaft 18, wherein the agitation blade 19 is formed from a belt-like continuous plate extending over the almost full length of the rotary shaft in the direction of the rotary shaft in the treatment tank 5 and arranged to be opposed closely to the inside surface of the treatment tank 5 over the full length of the agitation blade. As a result, since garbage is agitated by the full length of the agitation blade 19 while scooping garbage up along the inside surface of the treatment tank 5, garbage, particularly, even viscous leftovers such as boiled rice can be agitated and dried in pieces in a short period of time without bunching up together.
