摘要： Described herein are monomers capable of forming a biologically useful multimer when in contact with one, two, three or more other monomers in an aqueous media. In one aspect, such monomers may be capable of binding to another monomer in an aqueous media (e.g. in vivo) to form a multimer, (e.g. a dimer). Contemplated monomers may include a ligand moiety, a linker element, and a connector element that joins the ligand moiety and the linker element. In an aqueous media, such contemplated monomers may join together via each linker element and may thus be capable of modulating one or more biomolecules substantially simultaneously, e.g., modulate two or more binding domains on a protein or on different proteins.

摘要： A nail (10) having an offset head (12) is configured with a multi-step support gusset (18, 518) formed integrally between an undersurface (24, 524) of the offset head and a superior portion of a shank (14). The head of the nail is relatively thin, and the shank is positioned radially off center of the head. A first portion of the gusset defines an angle relative to the shank axis and the second portion of the gusset defines an angle relative to the shank axis different from that of the first portion. The support gusset reinforces the junction of the shank with the head, supports a toe (16) of the head, and distributes the force of a load on the head through a longitudinal axis of the shank, preventing the toe from bending or yielding and prevents the shank from yielding to the stresses of the load applied.

A plurality of rows of deformations formed as teeth are formed in the shank extending outwardly of the shank. The rows are formed in a spiral pattern along the length of the shank from about the head to about the penetrating tip. The rows of teeth are formed parallel to one another and formed at an angle of at least 50 degrees relative to a longitudinal axis of the nail.

摘要： A fastener assembly (10) for use in an associated fastener driving tool for driving a fastener from the assembly, in sequential order, into an associated substrate, includes a row of fasteners (14) arranged substantially parallel to each other, each fastener having a shank (16) and defining an axis and a collation system (12) formed from a plastic material that is molded onto and adhered to the fasteners. The plastic material defines a collar portion (20) at least substantially encircling the fastener shank and a connecting portion (22) extending between and connecting adjacent collar portions. When the fastener is driven from the driving tool, the collar portion remains adhered to the fastener such that the collar portion penetrates the substrate with the fastener, and the connecting portion includes a preferentially weakened region to influence separation of the connecting portion from the collar at a desired location.

摘要： Described herein are silyl monomers capable of forming a biologically useful multimer when in contact with one, two, three or more other monomers in an aqueous media. Such multimer forming associations of monomers may be promoted by the proximal binding of the monomers to their target biomolecule(s). 摘要： A full-round head nail having an offset head is configured with a gusset formed integrally between an undersurface of the offset head and a superior portion of a shank. The head of the nail is relatively thin, and the shank is positioned radially off center of the round head such that no heel is formed at a point tangential to both the head and the shank. The gusset has a lofted surface tapering radially from a roundness at the zero heel to a taper at the toe. The gusset reinforces the junction of the shank with the head, supports the toe of the head, and distributes the force of a load on the head through a longitudinal axis of the shank, preventing the toe from bending or yielding and prevents the shank from yielding to the stresses of the load applied.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a monomer useful in preparing therapeutic compounds. The monomer includes a diversity element which potentially binds to a target molecule with a dissociation constant of less than 300 μM and a linker element connected to the diversity element. The linker element has a molecular weight less than 500 daltons, is connected, directly or indirectly through a connector, to said diversity element, and is capable of forming a reversible covalent bond or non-covalent interaction with a binding partner of the linker element. The monomers canbe covalently or non-covalently linked together to form a therapeutic multimer or a precursor thereof. Also disclosed is a method of screening for therapeutic multimer precursors which bind to a target molecule associated with a condition and a method of screening for linker elements capable of binding to one another. The present invention additionally relates to a therapeutic multimer, which includes a plurality of covalently or non-covalently linked monomers, therapeutic monomers, and uses of such dimers and monomers.
