摘要： A nail (10) has a head, a penetrating tip and a shank (12) extending from the head to the penetrating tip. The shank has a circumference and a longitudinal axis. A plurality of rows of deformations formed as teeth are formed in the shank extending outwardly of the shank. The rows are formed in a spiral pattern along the length of the shank from about the head to about the penetrating tip. The rows of teeth are formed parallel to one another and formed at an angle of at least 50 degrees relative to a longitudinal axis of the nail.

摘要： A method of applying a corrosion-resistant coating to a fastener including preheating an area of the fastener to be coated to elevate a temperature of the area and spraying the preheated area of the fastener with a molten or semi-molten metal. In one embodiment, a corrosion-resistant coating applicator includes a support structure, a slotted fastener conveyer supported by the support structure, a feeder configured to feed fasteners to the slotted fastener conveyer, a fastener aligner configured to align head portions of the fasteners, a heater configured to heat head portions of the fasteners as the fasteners being conveyed by the slotted fastener conveyer, and a sprayer configured to apply a corrosion-resistant coating to the heated head portions of the fasteners being conveyed. The present disclosure also provides corrosion-resistant coated fasteners made using the coating methods and/or coating apparatus.

Such multimer forming associations of monomers may be promoted by the proximal binding of the monomers to their target biomolecule(s). In one aspect, such monomers may be capable of binding to another monomer in an aqueous media (e.g. in vivo) to form a multimer, (e.g. a dimer). Contemplated monomers may include a ligand moiety, a linker element, and a connector element that joins the ligand moiety and the linker element. In an aqueous media, such contemplated monomers may join together via each linker element and may thus be capable of modulating one or more biomolecules substantially simultaneously, e.g., modulate two or more binding domains on a protein or on different proteins.
