A machine includes a computer usable medium having computer readable program code for emulating a process of a machine having actuators and mechanical elements. The computer readable program code includes computer readable code instructions configured to display a graphical user interface having input fields corresponding to the actuators and mechanical elements, and to display a graphical representation of output response data of the machine using inputted parameters. Computer readable code instructions for receiving a plurality of parameters inputted into the plurality of input fields, and for emulating a mechanical operation of the machine using the plurality of parameters inputted into the plurality of input fields by simulating the programmable logic controller code are included. Output response data based on an emulation of the mechanical operation of the machine is generated and displayed.

摘要： An apparatus in accordance with the present invention provides a single or multi-layer coating to the surface of a plurality of substrates. The apparatus may include a plurality of buffer and sputtering chambers, and an input end and an output end, wherein said substrates are transported through said chambers of said apparatus at varying rates of speed such that the rate of speed of a pallet from said input end to said output end is a constant for each of said plurality of pallets. A high throughput sputtering apparatus having a plurality of integrally matched components in accordance with the present invention may further include means for transporting a plurality of substrates through said sputtering chambers at variable velocities; means for reducing the ambient pressure within said sputtering chambers to a vacuum level within a pressure range sufficient to enable sputtering operation; means for heating said plurality of substrates to a temperature conducive to sputtering said coatings thereon, said means for heating providing a substantially uniform temperature profile over the surface of said substrates; and control means for providing control signals to and for receiving feedback input from, said sputtering chambers, means for transporting, means for reducing, and means for heating, said control means being programmable for allowing control over said means for sputtering, means for transporting, means for reducing and means for heating.

摘要： A personal computer (PC) and a programmable controller are used to automatically reposition the turn bars and compensation rollers used in a folder for a web printing press. By providing linear transducers for each of the turn bars and compensation rollers disposed at each level of the folder, analog information as to the actual position of each is provided to the programmable controller. The PC provides digital information to the programmable controller as to the desired position and an error signal is computed for controlling the operation of the drive motors so as to reduce the error signal to zero. When setting up the folder to run a new job, the turn bar settings and compensation roller positions are manually accomplished, but upon command, the settings for that job may be stored in the memory of the PC for use the next time that particular job is to be run.

The method includes the steps of: interconnecting the device to a personal computer (PC) (10) running a web browser; and running an application on the PC that launches the web browser to an initial page and uploads a web browser applet or active x object from the device to the PC via the interconnection. The above-described embodiment combines PLC and/or I/O communications with the Internet's wide reach and ability to supply information, and does so with the 'look and feel' of a PC-Internet interface without adding significantly to the overhead burden of these small devices.

摘要： A powder coating control system comprising a plurality of gun controls associated with a like plurality of powder spray guns. Each of the gun controls stores a plurality of presets spray parameters. Each of the gun controls responds to part identification signals and part position signals to select in real time one of the stored presets of spray parameters and trigger its respective powder spray gun ON and OFF to apply a powder coating to the moving part in accordance with the selected set of spray parameters. The control system further permits a gun purge cycle to be programmed either before or after the powder coating process is executed. The control system automatically initializes and brings each of the gun controls to an operable state on-line with the system control.

摘要： An apparatus provides a single or multi-layer coating to the surface of a plurality of substrates. The apparatus includes a plurality of buffer and sputtering chambers (12, 18, 20, 22A-E, 24A-C, 26 and 28-30), and an input end and an output end.
