    • The nozzle according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises means (61, 62, 63) so that the dimensions of the fluid passage orifice vary as a function of the pressure differential between the inlet and the outlet. To this aim, the nozzle of the invention comprises a flat portion (30, 40, 50, 60) wherein are made at least two cuts (33, 45, 52, 62, 63) which form at least one tongue (31, 41, 51, 61) susceptible of elastically bending under the action of the fluid. Each cut is comprised of two grooves (61, 69) parallel to each other, one on each face of the flat portion, and of a slot (610) with a length equal to that of the grooves. Application: fabrication of nozzles and/or devices of which the flow rate is directly proportional to the pressure differential existing between the inlet and the outlet.

    • A carburetor may have a fuel metering assembly with a metering valve and a metering diaphragm sealed to a body of the carburetor to at least partially define a metering chamber with a portion of the metering diaphragm movable relative to the body to actuate a fuel metering valve. The diaphragm may include a continuous layer, a discontinuous layer, and an intermediate layer received at least partially between the continuous and discontinuous layers and at least partially inhibiting direct contact between the continuous and discontinuous layers. The continuous and discontinuous layers may be different polymer materials and the intermediate layer may be a polymer different than that of the discontinuous layer. The intermediate layer may include voids, segments, or a wire form.

    • A carburettor (10; 310) includes a body (14; 314), a throttle valve (26; 326) positioned in an air/fuel passageway (18; 318) in the body, a fuel bowl (30; 330) coupled to the body, a fuel bowl chamber (34; 334) at least partially defined by the fuel bowl, and a one-piece fuel-metering insert (42; 342) coupled to the body. The insert includes an idle circuit passageway (62; 362) having a first end in fluid communication with a fuel passageway in the body and a second end in fluid communication with the fuel bowl chamber (34; 334). The insert also includes a main circuit passageway (66; 366) having a first end in fluid communication with the air/fuel passageway (18; 318) and a second end in fluid communication with the fuel bowl chamber (34; 334).
